I Was Caught Being Good

Many times during the course of our business day in Chico, we are in contact with the same people over and over again. When these people are consistently pleasant and friendly, I think they deserve a shout out. One such person is Marissa, the receptionist for Mission Hills Mortgage. Marissa is personable, friendly and professional. She answers and directs all in coming phone calls happily. I know she performs other duties, but this is the job she does when I call and I appreciate it. If you have ever made a phone call to a local Chico business only to be cut off or greeted with irritation, then you'll appreciate good service when you experience it. That's why I would like to say thanks to Marissa for making my day more pleasant. Here's to you.

Here's to Amanda who works behind the counter at Round Table Pizza on Mangrove Avenue, Chico. I appreciate your bubbly personality and your personable service. I took a friend to lunch on a very busy weekday. Amanda was smiley, helpful and patient. With so many CSUC and Butte College students in the Chico workforce, they are often treated like, "a dime a dozen". We forget that the student behind the counter also has a life and a story to tell, whether it be difficult exams to study for, personal problems, roomate issues or bills to pay. So Amanda, here's to you for working hard, doing a great job at it and making my day easier and more pleasant. Thanks!
