Matt Harding
Last year I wrote about the infamous Dancing Matt Harding from "Where the Hell is Matt?"
Since his video chronicling his 2003 trip, Harding was "sponsored" by Stride long-lasting gum who paid Harding for another 6-month trip in 2005, which is highlighted in the above silly video.
This is smart marketing spending since Harding's videos have been viewed millions of times. Pay a guy, let's say $20,000-$30,000, to go travel the world, and get your company linked with a popular viral video.
The dancing is bad, but the locations are excellent choices with Petra, Jordan; Machu Picchu, Peru; Botswana, and Angkor Wat, Cambodia as my favorites.
By the way, if you watch the latest video carefully, you probably wondered like I did if Harding has something against Guam. Or maybe Harding developed a fascination with abandoned vehicles while visiting Guam.
