Success
As many have already heard, the Annie B's Community Drive spearheaded by North Valley Community Foundation was a huge success.
NVCF used an anonymous matching fund donor to help drive this philanthropic effort in partnership with over a hundred local nonprofits.
Capitalizing on a matching fund donor is not a unique idea, but like many efforts a good, simple idea boils down to execution and implementation.
Clearly, based on Annie B's Community Drive final numbers, the initiative was implemented effectively with a resounding successful outcome.
The final numbers for Annie B’s Communtiy Drive - 127 nonprofits from four counties generating 2,200 donations totaling $787,000 in a two-month fundraising drive period.
That's over three quarters of a million dollars raised in two months from donations as small as $5.
I think someone should launch an Alexa V's Community Drive in honor of NVCF's CEO Alexa Valavanis, who is pictured with Helen Wilcox posing as either Annie Bidwell or auditioning for Masterpiece Theatre.
NVCF Program Officer Lee Laney deserves lots of credit too.
