Scary?

| Photo: Mark Sorensen posted a comment that some people might find me with an M16 to be a scary thing. Here's an image taken 21 years ago in Germany. I was 19 and earning my college education. Not too scary, but much skinnier. Actually, my M16 had an M203 40mm grenade launcher attached, so maybe it is a little scary. You may not be able to see me because of the camo, I'm in the middle of the photo. |

I had an M40 on my weapon as well. At first I hated it because it made the thing heavy to carry. Then when we were guarding NATO 23 I was happy to have the little beauty! If we went on alert, we M40 guys were positioned in less-foward position in a very nice little bunker, and were given seveal cases of high explosive grenades, and multi-shot shells (basically a giant shot gun shell!). I have to say those babies packed quite a punch and you felt honored to be in charge of such a nice weapon...... Scary.....
