Image: One version of the ROV my circuit may end up on.
I've got to be brief today. I'm heading down to Davis to meet with a client
for a design review. I've been asked to redesign a circuit we came up with
about 7 years ago that measures ground fault currents in the remotely-operated-vehicle,
or ROV. The circuit measures micro-amp level currents flowing into a ground
tied at the ROV chassis. As salt water or friction degrade wiring the insulation
can break down causing a short circuit that can be dangerous to people
or the machine. The circuit I'm designing will give an indication if that happening, and where it is occuring.
I missed last night's Council meeting due to babysitting needs. I won't
even have time to read about it in the paper before I'm on the road. But
I thought I would post about a rumor I heard that could be interesting
if true. I've heard that a story in tomorrow's CNR might have a couple
of councilors suggesting a sales tax increase to benefit police and fire
could be a budget solution. The councilor's names rhyme with Bundle and
Mulcombe.
In the mean time I have to go raise some income tax money for my community.
I wish it was sales tax income, but it's not. Sorry. I promise to
buy some things locally with any money I earn today.
CI Challenge: Can you guess what it is? Winner: Everyone who posted, see comments below for the answer. Gregg Payne did post first however.

Lon, I want to come work for you and learn how to do this stuff. I've always wanted to build robots. Computers is the closest i've managed to come. =D
Got a job opening there?

Well of course it's the group WAR. I put that right in the blog title.
Trevor,
I've got you on my Outsiders, blog readers, help with the course, and invite you over to the house with your ribs lists. I might as well put you on the Solutions Cubed employment waiting list.
As of today I don't think there's any new employees in our near future. But bring me a resume anyway, we can always go have a beer.
Maybe I should have a Commission Impossible cocktail hour?
