Tina,
Send all money in small unmarked bills (un-marked, that's kind of funny) to...
Beer Fund c/o
Lon Glazner
125 East...
well, on second thought that might get me in trouble. I'm not sure where to send contributions for Mark's campaign, but I'm sure somebody reading knows where to send them.

Anthony,
Mark is the toast of the town. I'll be advocating no support for any candidate that supports the complete removal of disc golf from Upper Bidwell Park.
I suspect that will be Ann Schwab's position, but... I need to ask each candidate exactly where they stand.
There will of course be other important candidate issues to discuss. But park access can be a deal breaker for me.

Gee Thanks Lon :- )
I do like the sign idea: "Elect Sorensen, He Won't Waffle".
Funny thing about the ER story (I assume that was the trigger) is that I filed my Form 501 on 03/21/08, and I beleive that Ann Schwab filed her's on 03/24/08.... Sounds like all four of us filed in March.
Who the heck is grey haired old guy in the photo? I thought that I had brown hair. At least that what is says on my drivers licence ;-)

Mark,
And if somebody wanted to contribute to your campaign, where would they send the check?
I'm still available for spiritual advisor. Just let me know.

I wouldn't give up on Ann with frisbee golf. She's no rocket scientist but she seems more ruled by the heart. This might make her more of an impressionable target for the Friends' distorted science, but I think her compassion for kids and families and her progressive ideals toward low income, at risk and disadvantaged citizens will win her over in support of disc golf as a valuable opportunity for healthy outdoor recreation.

Gregg,
I wouldn't give up on any councilor coming to grasp with the fact that people need places to play.
But it's not like I haven't been around long enough to draw some conclusions of my own. I recall Schwab saying on the local radio station that disc golf causes 50,000 years of impact to the soil.
When the whole Tom Barrett thing blew up she said she thought it was important for Park Commissioners to have strong opinions. Any councilor that appreciated how those opinions were expressed is not looking for honest debate.
More recently she went after a small group of disc golfers that got together to raise money for the Salvation Army. She did that based on an email from Susan Mason of the Friends of Bidwell Park, and made no attempt to find out for herself what the facts were.
I have an open mind about Ann Schwab as a councilor. I recognize that even if her and I express different perspectives we should still listen to each other. But she has a history of aggressively not supporting disc golf. Other liberal councilors do not have that history.
