Happy Thanksgiving Eve-Afternoon

I hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving. We've got a lot of things to be thankful for. The weather is nice, we live in a wonderful town, and there's plenty of edible things in Bidwell Park if you need a snack. I took today off and took my kids up to upper park. We ran across some cattails, which Ruby mistakenly thought were hotdogs on a stick. Okay, Becket and I told her they were hotdogs on a stick. On the up side, I think we found that healthy natural snack that some Park Commissioner wanted to see sold at 1-mile. Have a great holiday, I'll be shutting down the computer for the next few days.

Would you believe, we have eaten all our turkey! This is a first. Safeway had little birds, 88 cents a pound. We brined that badboy all night and stuck him in the webber pot next day - get out of town, he was so good!

But I burnt my squash pie, cause there were too many good movies on tv. Great Escape! Billy Jack! I have watched Great Escape about 10 times in the past month, and I could watch it again. I kept leaving the room for the part where McQueen jumps the barbed wire - finally got to see it last night. Man, no matter how many times I see that movie, I never get tired of Steve McQueen.

Got any pictures of Steve McQueen? I tell you, the guy is a chick magnet.

About Me: Fasten your seatbelts for an exhilarating trip through Chico's public policy; I guarantee it's marginally better than public access TV.
