EDUCATING THE CITY COUNCIL
The problems relating to the City finances have been well underway for at least the past 5 years.
The City Council and its Finanace Committee continuously state they need to educate the public about the City's financial problems.
Pardon me; the City Council needs to educate itself since they make all final decisions concerning the City Budget, employee agreemens and all other matters relating to City finances.

IS THE CHICO AREA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT (CARD) "GOING TO THE DOGS"?
If “DOG OWNERS” want a park for their DOGS, I would suggest they establish a non-profit organization and raised the money to build and maintain “DOG PARKS” throughout the Chico Area.
CARD was established many years ago for the purpose of providing recreation and park facilities for the HUMAN RESIDENTS of the Chico Urban Area; not for the “DOGS”.
Since I also have a great affection for dogs and have had several of them in past years, I still don’t believe it's CARD responsibility or authority to build a “DOG PARK” for a very special interest group within our community.

PG&E SHOULD BE COMPLIMENTED FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS TO ITS CAMELLIA WAY SUBSTATION
The PG&E Camellia Way Substation walls (adjacent to Big Chico Creek and the Camellia Way Bridge) have been recently improved with an attractive mural and the planting of large Camellia plants in the landscape box adjacent to Camellia Way.
The community should let PG&E know that it appreciates its effort in adding to the attractiveness of the Downtown Area and the City.
The community attractiveness occurs when every property owner exercises the responsibility to maintain and improve their property.
