TOM MCCLINTOCK! It would be a truly evil wind indeed that didn't blow a bit of fresh air.:-D

Wow is right with the results. It was good to see the public ignoring the ER's recommendations. I think it's wrong for the paper to do that anyway when they should want people to vote on their own opinions.
Great news on the school board. People woke up and rejected another incumbent who has no educational background. Watts is done as a political figure. I rejected him when I saw him driving around in that stupid Watts mobile with the neon sign. God, I figured if he were that stupid, he didn't deserve anyone's vote. I think Rees should recognize that he got lucky too. More people voted for the challengers than the incumbents combined. It's about time this town cleans up that district office from the corruption the previous superintendent did. I think the new guy was waiting for help and now he has it to be able to rid himself of some people.
City Council? Again, it's about time that the people won, businesses lost, and we can return to what is good for our town.

One more. When I got to work this morning, everyone was talking about the results. That's awesome. For too long, apathy seemed to be prevalent.
City Council and school board seemed to be the two topics of most interest, more than the national elections.
More on Anthony Watts. Consensus seemed to be that he doomed his fate with his list of endorsements. Having Rick Anderson on there hurt him big time. Had Anderson been running, he would have been dead last. So many others on his list were losers and malcontents. You don't just fill your list with names of anyone. It's like another candidate using Watts' name next time. Who would want it?
Sad to see Herbert go. Conservative or not, he is a good guy.
