Could someone tell me why the federal government is not giving the Mexican President an ultimatum that if he does not take care of the drug lords, we will? It was just two weeks ago I reported about the drug cartel pirates chasing fishermen on American territory at Falcon Lake in an attempt to steal money and equipment from them, now we learn about the death threats to American police officers. This is war, and if the Mexican government cannot do something, then it is the federal governments job to take care of it.
Now to be honest, the report does say that the drug lords are only telling the officers to turn their back when they are off duty, they are not expecting the police to shirk their duty while on the clock. How civic minded off them. See, that's how they start, and that how Mexico got where it's at with the drug lords running things. If a man is a policeman, then he is an officer off the clock as well as on the clock. So for them to threaten the officers off the clock means they are threatening the officers on the clock.
If the Obama administration does not begin to take the threat that drug lords pose America with ALL their criminal activity, then we will soon be no better then the South American Tin Horn Dictatorships that are at the whim of what ever thug is in power. However, we have a constitution, not Monarchy, and not a dictatorship, regardless of what Obama wants to believe. Iyt is high time he stops usurping that constitution and quit grabbing power that he does not have or taking rights away from the citizens which the constitution grant us.
If he does not start acting like a President, and stop acting like a Fascists leader, then I do believe we will be witnessing the first Impeached and Convicted President in our nations history. I put the blame for the border problem squarely in Obama's lap. I did when GW was President also, because he too refused to step up and do what he was supposed to do when it co,mes to protecting our borders from the intruders. The difference between Obama and Bush, is that at least Bush defended us overseas,

You are right of course, David. We need to get Americans off drugs and then we will truly begin to win the war. However, we have many, right here in California who think that making drugs legal would stem the flow. They are sadly mistaken, because then the Drug Cartels would have won, because the users will still not want to pay the price for drugs that have taxes added. Look at the number of people who skirt the law and buy cigarettes from over seas and pay no taxes.
So the illegal trade will continue, but our new overlords will be the drug empire instead of the government. So we still need to shut down the border and fight the usage problem here in America.
