Dog Stays Beside An Ailing Canine Friend Amidst the Ruin (Video)

For better or for worse is not just a good thing to remember in marriage, it's a pretty good policy for life in general when it comes to friends also. Sometimes we forget that humans are not the only ones effected by disasters. Man has been domesticating cats and dogs for thousands of years, and when disaster strikes we forget that they still depend upon us. In the case of these dogs, they have since been rescued and are well on their way to recovering from their ordeal. The dog hurting the most has been sent to a clinic in Mito, while his friend who refused to leave his side is being cared for in the same town they were rescued in. Below is a transcript of the conversation between the two reporters in the video.

We are in Arahama area. Looks like there is a dog. There is a dog. He looks tired and dirty. He must have been caught in the tsunami. He looks very dirty.

He has a collar. He must be someone's pet. He has a silver collar. He is shaking. He seems very afraid.

Oh, there is another dog. I wonder if he is dead.

Where?

Right there. There is another dog right next to the one sitting down. He is not moving. I wonder. I wonder if he is alright.

The dog is protecting him.

Yes. He is protecting the dog. That is why he did not want us to approach them. He was trying to keep us at bay.

I can't watch this. This is a very difficult to watch.

Oh. Look. He is moving. He is alive. I am so happy to see that he is alive.

Yes! Yes! He is alive.

He looks to be weakened. We need to them to be rescued soon. We really want them rescued soon.

Oh good. He's getting up.

It is amazing how they survived the tremendous earthquake and tsunami. It's just amazing that they survived through this all.

About Me: I am a born again Christian who enjoys talking religion and politics. I have always believed that it is the Christian's obligation to understand the workings of our government as well as they do the precepts of God. Jesus tells us to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves". (Mark 10:16) So it is with this understanding that I approach life. I was born in the Midwest, and while I may have grown up in Northern Minnesota, I have earned my degree in knowledge and understanding from the many regions of America and Europe that I have either lived in or visited as an adult.
