Police Officer Punches Woman In Face During Arrest At IHOP (Video)

This video was filmed by a cell phone at an I-HOP in Atlanta around 4:00 in the morning. The woman punched was not even being arrested, until she interfered with an arrest of another individual.  Here is a clue, it is not very smart to interfere with a policeman arresting your friend, not even if you are a woman. Bad Idea!

Here are two angles of the same incident.

Article below is from Atlanta

It was not clear what started the struggle around 4 a.m. Sunday, but the incident started as a conflict between the officer, working a second job at the Buckhead restaurant, and another woman with the one who was hit.

According to several videos posted on YouTube.com, the officer, whose name was not known, shouted at a woman sitting in the corner of a booth near the door and then he lunged at her. A woman wearing a black dress appeared to be trying to separate the officer and her friend when the officer slapped her. The woman in the black dress hit him back and he responded with a punch to her face.

A second officer came up just as the struggle began. He got involved when it became physical between the first cop and the woman in the black dress and appeared to be trying to separate the two. The first officer pulled the woman in a black dress away from the table, threw her onto the floor and laid on top of her while trying to get handcuffs on one wrist. The second wrist was cuffed when she turned over on her stomach.

Within moments, a female officer appeared to hold back the crowd while the woman in the black dress, shoeless, was led out of the restaurant.

"The Atlanta Police Department is aware of the incident that took place early Sunday morning involving one of its officers attempting to arrest a patron at an IHOP in Buckhead," APD said in a statement emailed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution late Tuesday. "The matter has been referred to our Office of Professional Standards to determine whether department policies and procedures were followed. Further comment at this time would not be appropriate."

It's sadly apparent that America is going down as evidenced by the very poor behavior and out of control violence by our over-eaters in popular restaurants, especially those in our largest cities. Sad, very sad.

bondmen----please find out more about the story. You don't even know what happened; the young ladies are being accused on the internet of being drunk and loud but that is NOT what motivated the officer to suddenly jump into her face, start yelling at her, tearing her hair out, and putting cuffs on her. Please find out more. The girls were no different, no louder, no drunker, than any of the other 40 customers in the restaurant. The problem began when the officer overheard one of the girls make a remark about a "storm trooper". The policeman took it to mean him. What he did not realize what that she was talking about a guy in COSTUME at the next table, not him. There had been a costume event earlier that night. The cop charged at her thinking she had made a negative comment about him. And began tearing out her hair. THIS is what is bad in America. Please don't succumb to the typical diatribes going around.

You can see the Storm Trooper a the end of this video of the same event from the table BEHIND the girls.

About Me: I am a born again Christian who enjoys talking religion and politics. I have always believed that it is the Christian's obligation to understand the workings of our government as well as they do the precepts of God. Jesus tells us to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves". (Mark 10:16) So it is with this understanding that I approach life. I was born in the Midwest, and while I may have grown up in Northern Minnesota, I have earned my degree in knowledge and understanding from the many regions of America and Europe that I have either lived in or visited as an adult.
