Prep sports always need help, and these folks stepped up for Oroville High

We usually don't have space for these types of things in the newspaper, and it's not really pertinent news.

Nonetheless, I think it is important to recognize people and businesses in our area that support prep sports, because without them there likely wouldn't be any JV teams or money to travel to tournaments.

This one comes courtesy of Oroville High girls basketball coach Tom Frazier. He's a great guy and does great things for OHS, so it's only right that I forward along his email. Here it is, and I didn't edit any of it:

The Oroville High School Girls Basketball program would like to say thank you to the Community of Oroville for ALL its support this year and previous ones as well. A special thanks goes out to Hobbies-Chevrolet, The Party Shoppe, Hof Brau, Feather River Aggregates, Foothill Meat Company, Town & Country Properties, Coldwell Banker/Kathy Robertson & C& S Barbeque for their special contributions this year to our 2nd Annual “November Harvest” dinner. We’d also like to say Thank You to the Kiwanis Club of Oroville for another successful year as the tournament sponsor of the Annual Duard Millet Invitational. Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year. Thanks again for all your support of the teenagers/athletes of Oroville High School.
