Congrats to the Las Plumas JV baseball team

Yes, I don't often give attention to junior varsity sports. I know this to be true. But when a parent sends a team photo of a championship team, I think it's Nosebleed Section blog worthy. Leave me a comment if the pic is too small, I'm still trying to find the perfect setting on photobucket.

So I'll let Patti Engasser tell the story:

"The Las Plumas JV Baseball team took first place in the 2009 Las Plumas/Oroville Tournament held March 12-14 in Oroville. They went undefeated, beating Hamilton 17-2, Pleasant Valley 2-1, Lassen 7-6, and Chico 5-4.

Bear Engasser, Nick Thornton, David Jennings and Tyler Szego highlighted the tournament with outstanding pitching performances.
