Gas lines under Jimmy Carter???

More than once I've heard Shaun Hannity mention the long gas lines we had under Jimmy Carter. I remember those gas lines happening in the winter of 73 and 74. I believe Gerald Ford was president at the time. Correct me if I'm wrong....

I was told of the gas lines while I was overseas, that was sometime between 1978 and 1985 - so the president was Carter, but the timing is off.

Joe's reply....I googled it and actually there was gas lines in 73 and 74 as well as under Jimmy Carter
