Recovering From Surgery Again

The disk replacement performed on my cervical spine last November helped alleviate my neck and shoulder pain which really bothered me when running or bike riding, but after several months it became apparent that my injuries extended to my right rotator cuff. Yesterday Dr. Azevedo repaired my superspinadus, and today my right arm is completely immobilized. It took me several minutes to type this with my one good hand.

i feel pretty confident that after this heals I will be through with my little chronic pain issues. Then I can double my focus on this family.

Our kids have been having great times with the summer finally here. Carter survived his graduation ceremony and the all night "Safe and Sober" party. I helped out for the first few hours. It was actually quite lavish, as the committee has raised and spent $17,000 on the occasion for about 70 kids. The following Sunday a party was held at our home in Carter's honor. It was outdoors and the weather was spectacular.

Zoe graduated from Pre-school and is ready to begin Kindergarten in August. She is looking to be a very artistic person. Teddy is healthy and strong, but unfortunately has been suffering from the deep emotional swings associated with his tender age. The other kids went through the same stage, so that helps mom and dad not to worry too much.

And then there is Daisy. A heart stealing, hard working, long eye-lashed 10 1/2 month old angel. I will post a video of her within the next two days so you can see just how far she has come.

I had shoulder surgery a couple years ago and thought the pain would never go away following the surgery. Doing everything with one hand for a while can be challenging. Finally one day, I notice it didn't hurt any longer and hadn't even notice when it stopped. It sure was worth it in the long run.

Thank you for your news survey !
Get well soon ...
