Conservative thinking...
When I hear liberals defining what the GOP is or what conservatives think, I almost choke! I know they are just repeating the mantra from their circle of liberal friends and what they really know about conservatives is next to nothing.
Let me give you an example of just a few basic conservative principles and see if they meet with your approval?
Conservative believes in limited government and lower taxes. They believe in the philosophy of the foundering fathers and the Constitution. They have a great respect for the sanctity of life (abortion is a last resort) and they like government when it generates more freedom, not more safety nets. Conservatives think it ought to be more up to the individual, than government to determine your future success. Conservatives think equal opportunity means an equal right to succeed or fail. Conservatives also think it's better to give a hand up, instead of a handout and things done in the private sector are generally faster, better and cheaper than things done in government...so we are very cautious about letting the government DO things for us!

Liberals only wish they had core principles. That is why they hate conservatives so deeply. You can take two conservatives from opposite sides of the country and they will hold the same things near and dear. You can take two liberals who live next door to one another and the only thing they have in common is their hate for conservatives and a hard on for killing babies.

I tripped myself up. I placed common everyday values on liberals, well duh, you can't do that! What most people think of as values, liberals do not have a clue about. Liberals have all kinds of things in common. All of them are counter to good order and discipline to life in America.They fight for the right to kill babies, who have done nothing wrong. They are totally against the death penalty for people who have committed the worst crimes you can think of. They are also anti-democratic, if they believed in "one man, one vote" they would never get elected to anything. Anyway, that is what I really wanted to say about libs and values.
