ALL TOPICS ARE FAIR GAME

Most blog sites are built upon one theme, but not here. We're a little different. I said from the begining "all topics are fair game" and true to that, uh... warning, well, you get some pretty diverse things here from smart dogs to Howard Dean in a British Red-Coat! lol

If you have been reading this column for any length of time, you've probably also noticed that I encourage you to send in your comments and even start a new thread, so don't be bashful. I like to publishing your thoughts and frequently do as main topics. This column was designed to be interactive and I can't do that without your help, so pulleeeeese feel free to write whatever is on your mind! Just keep it clean because we may have a few younger types reading your work. I know my grandson stops by once in awhile and he said some of his 8th grade friends do too. So don't try to teach my G-son any creative 4 letter words, he's doing just great on his own thank you.

On last thing, just because your work gets published here doesn't mean the Enterprise-Record or even I, (your humble blog writer) agree, support or endorse your work, but we DO respect your right to express your opinion!

Looking forward to your thoughts....

Jack,

Not sure if you keep up with political cartoons but I love them. Studying them and their impact on American culture was one of my favorite parts of Political Science. How a cartoonist can speak volumes in one panel of drawings and often less than a dozen words is beyond me but they do it daily.
Recently I was emailed a cartoon by Pat Oliphant who is a pretty far left cartoonist. It made me laugh, it was great. The cartoon depicted a farm-boy type G.W. Bush sitting on a porch with his faithful dog licking his hand. The dog was labled "Lieberman".
What volumes this speaks. I consider Joe Lieberman a rational voice for the Democratic party. Someone who sets aside political gain and speaks for what he believes is the best for the country. While I don't necessarily agree with his ideas some of the time I do believe he is trying to do what is best. That the left would consider him Bushe's lapdog is huge. To me this signifies that the left is splintering. Their leadership turned out to be a traitor, and they're not listening to rational thought, so blinded by their anti-Bush agenda. I forsee dark days for the DNC and when it's done I hope to see Joe Lieberman rising from the ashes as a rational leader for the new DNC.
