Aircraft On Display

Shown here is a Russian Antonov biplane, donated to the museum in 2003. The Antonov was a work horse utility type aircraft often used with ski's to ferry supplies to remoted region such as Siberia. In the US it's a been a favorite of skydivers because of it's load capacity and relatively slow airspeed.
In addition to the An-2, there is a Yak 51, Russian trainer, the famous P2V "Neptune" sub chaser used throughout the 1960's till the late 80's and a rare Howard Super Ventura used for civilian transport and antisubmarine warfare in the 1950's.
