Kind Advice on Immigration from Augustin Cebada
Mr. Cebada (A Brown Beret Activist) advocates European decendants of the original immigrants, I suppose this would include folks in the D.A.R. and S.A.R., that it would be great if they could only retrace their ancestors historic routes in order to relive some of that history and thereby gain a new perspective on todays immigration problem. Mr. Cebada, ever the diplomat, goes on to encourage folks, especially the elderly, just "get out" and travel! Why, it's virtually their duty before they die, he says.
That was the news media version. Mr. Cebada's precise words, for those of you who are sticklers for such things, are and I quote from his most recent speech: "Go back to Plymouth Rock, Pilgrims! Get out! We are the future. You are old and tired. Leave like beaten rats, you old white people. It is your duty to die... We are going to take over."
--Augustin Cebada, a Brown Beret.
Well, there you go, advice from a patriot and lover of the American dream. Anybody making travel plans? Perhaps we should make travel plans for Mr. Cebada, afterall it was his idea? I say we contact your Congressman and see what we can do about travel for Mr. Cebada, starting by checking his green card.

Jack, I would suggest that Mr. Cebada Might learn a thing or two by tracing his own ancestry. This "white European" male is most likely (as are many Americans) the progeny of Spanish, Portuguese, German and even perhaps French people from Europe with a little Native Indian tossed into the mix. Hispanic is not a race, nor is Latina. The Mexican claim of "first owners" is bogus. My French, German, English, Native Indian ancestors would take his on any day of the week...but then, I guess we did that already. Meanwhile, I join you in calling for an investigation into his green card status with immediate deportation to follow.

I suggest the "Latino" educators and pols be paid more attention to than Cebada, i.e."barley". He is an out and out activist, but others are now and have been reaching children in the classrooms daily. Check out the rest mentioned--ferraro, Villaraigoza, Tancredo, Richardson, Navarro, Gloria Molina etc. etc.
BTW there is a large segment of Mexicans as well who claim Irish descent and celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
