National Guard Moves to the Border

by Jack lee

From Military.com: "The Bush administration has been unable to muster even half the 2,500 National Guardsmen it planned to have on the Mexican border by the end of June, officials in the border states said. The head of the National Guard Bureau disputed that tally and said the goal would be met by Friday. While touring outside the beltway, President Bush had this to say on immigration, "I will not deport people who have been here for awhile." Well said George, that ought to help the GOP win elections in November! Thus the President has reaffirmed his position on illegal immigration while hinting at his resolved to secure our wide-open border with Mexico.

"As of Thursday, the next-to-last day of the month, fewer than 1,000 troops were in place, according to military officials in Texas, California, New Mexico and Arizona. President Bush's plan called for all 50 states to send troops. But only 10 states - including the four border states - have signed commitments."

Meanwhile millions of illegals are seeking citizenship in hopes of joining the powerful leftwing voting block that has one overriding task...to remove from office all elected officials who stand in their way on immigration. They need only influence a few key elections to have their presence felt throughout the United States. The entire political landscape of the U.S. could be changing in the coming 10 years with the addition of up to another 30 million new hispanic immigrants.

In some regions near our southern border, this has already happened. By their sheer numbers (illlegal or not) they are an effective lobbying force already and this has had a dramatic influence on dictating changes to policies and laws. The City of Los Angeles is the largest city to be co-opted by illegals and their leftist mentors. L.A. has become a "sanctuary city" that refuses cooperation with federal immigration laws or even welfare laws that demand recipients be citizens. This city policy has hurt LAPD that used citizenship status as a tool to take down a number of really bad gang members. These are the guys that were committing robbery, murder and drug trafficking until they were deported, but thanks to the sanctuary policy they're back and doing business as usual.

Dozens of other major cities across America have teamed up with this latest "sanctuary movement" to aid illegals at taxpayer expense. Somewhat surprisingly, not one angry mob with torches and pitchforks has undertaken the lynching of a city official...yet. Note: This writer does not advocate lynchings as a way to solve city government problems, tar and feathering should be adequate, thank you.

And once the extra feathers have floated to the ground, the good citizens had better replace them with folks that are ready to back the Elliot Ness types.
