The following is the Democratic Vision that is being put out by the Democratic National Committee.
1) "Honest Leadership and Open Government": We will end the Republican "culture of corruption� and restore a government as good as the people it serves.
2) "Real Security": We will protect Americans at home and lead the world by telling the truth to our troops, our citizens and our allies.
3) "Energy Independence": We will create a cleaner and stronger America by reducing our dependence on foreign oil.
4) "Economic Prosperity & Educational Excellence": We will create jobs that "will stay in America" by restoring opportunity and driving innovation.
5) "A Healthcare System that Works for Everyone": We will join 36 other industrialized nations by making sure everyone has access to affordable healthcare.
6) "Retirement Security": We will ensure that a retirement with dignity is the right and expectation of every single American.

Well, let’s see if I’ve got this straight. The Democrats are going to “end the culture of corruption�…I’ll just wait till you finish giggling and pull yourselves up off the floor…next they will “protect Americans and lead the world by telling the truth� …I know, you’re right, I should have put those first two together, this one is equally hilarious.
But lets “move on…number 3, they will make America “cleaner and stronger� by reducing our dependence on foreign oil… do they think non-foreign oil is cleaner? …or, are they going to install millions of wind machines all over the pristine land they love to "protect"... or maybe build nuclear power plants, an idea that Republicans have
favored for decades…Hmmm? Moving on…
They will create jobs that “will stay in America� by “restoring opportunity and driving innovation.�…How will you do it, please, intentions just don’t cut it! And now to the twin towers…the two real objects of their affection:
They will make sure that “everyone has access to affordable healthcare� . But do they understand what makes health care affordable and can they actually produce that or are they STILL blowin’ political smoke? And finally…They promise to make sure that “retirement with dignity� is your right and expectation!
Horse feathers! The bottom line here is that the only thing these folks actually promise is that more money will be taken from some Americans to give to other Americans in raised taxes. Same old empty promises.
Democrats dream…and as usual, it's really just an ugly nightmare.
