ANOTHER MUSLIM PLOT FOILED: "BERLIN (AP) -- Police are trying to unravel a failed bomb plot after a tip from Lebanese intelligence led to the arrest of a 21-year-old Lebanese
student on suspicion he tried to place a suitcase bomb on a German train. The suspect, identified only as Youssef Mohamad E.H., was detained early Saturday in the northern city of Kiel on suspicion he tried to place the bomb on a train July 31. Authorities said Monday that a second suspect remains at large. Officials have said others may have been involved in preparing the attack, which they say failed only because the crude devices didn't explode.

What did Germany do to cause this? (refering to the story above) They haven't invaded anyone lately, they have no troops in Iraq nor Lebanon. They even tend to support Palestinians when a vote comes up in the UN. So, why bomb Germany?
I think the more you know about terror plots and bombings, the less credibility there is to believe that a change in US foreign policy or US diplomacy could have prevented 9/11 or that a pull out from Iraq would produce peace.
The evidence mounts every day that Muslim fanatics, some that are part of large, well known groups and others that are just acting on their own, independent of the big groups, are all doing it for no other reason than to spread their version of Islam over the world in the spirit of Jihad. It becomes blatantly apparent if you care to review the many thousands of acts of Islamic terrorism over the past few years.
These perpetrators are all motivated by their religion, pitting them against the rest of humanity, a humanity that does not subscribe to their version of Islam. Even the far left that has long defended the causes and motives of Islamic terrorism is now having trouble believing their own rhetoric.

I was thinking about the "enemy" today and about the peace movement from the Viet Nam era. The peaceniks were just dumb kids then who deined to believe they were wiser than their parents, teachers and leaders. They had no respect, humility or manners. In fact they were arrogant brats with an overblown sense of self-importance. War was wrong...always. And they had all the answers. They haven't changed a bit. Now they are faced with an enemy like none we have seen before, an enemy without a country, single leader, or ambassador...yet they still want to solve the problem diplomatically. How many agreements have been ignored and broken in the last thirty or so years? Who do they imagine will sign the treaty ending the conflict and why do they think it will be honored?
By taking an absolute stand the grown up peaceniks have painted themselves into a corner. One day they cry for peace and the next they say they will get tough and do a better job at eliminating terror. They do all of this while trashing the military.
I can't get past the fact that they cannot be trusted. The evidence around the globe over many years should be sufficient to demonstrate the intent and mission of the enemy...yet they continue to deny the real threat and they continue to blame America, Israel, religion, cowboys or anything else they can think of, anything but the people who perpetrate these continued acts of violance and destruction.
Incredible! To answer your question...maybe the reason is that Germany elected a cowgirl.

It is now the 24th and I am still waiting for something to happen.They said a cataclysmic event was going to take place on August 22nd. I figure they didn't take the international dateline into account maybe the whole daylight savings time thing screwed them up. Notice how the media really played it up but now that nothing has happened, they ignore that little point.

Well, since you asked. (And you're right: we commit our offenses and Germany commits theirs and those third worlders take offense at our respective offenses, respectively.) We plant our military in other people's countries, abscond with their natural resources, and foist upon them "Miami Vice" reruns, tube tops, and other highly offensive cultural excrescences.
But the Germans have something called a Guest Worker program. Guess what color all the Guest Workers are? They don't get to be citizens. They have seriously restricted access to public services. They don't get paid very well. And if they lose their job, well, it's back to the Phillippines or Pakistan, where they don't get paid at all. You can understand how a person might feel resentful.

1.Germany was the home of that infamous fellow, oh what was his name? You know the guy...Adolf something, anyway, after his defeat it was AGREED that the US would put bases in the region for protection and stability of the region. The German people were glad we were there after having to deal with the SS, among others.
2. What resources have we stolen, Libby, name just one...then we'll talk.
3. Foist? PahleeaseHave you seen a German film lately? Probably not, but give me a large break...Miami Vice? Ohhh ma gawd! And tube tops? You obviously don't know about their porn industry, the clothing alone would curl your hair if you think a tube top is bad. Highly offensive cultural excrescences? Libby, I think you need to expand your worldview a bit before you continue to blame America for the ills of the world.
Why did the Pakistani/Phillippino cross the ocean? You answered it yourself...a better life. Who are you to judge what is meaningful for them or what is worth their efforts? Guest workers in 1950's America were proud good people willing to work to feed their families...you demean their efforts with elite social ordering as if they were a spec of clay to be fashioned into pottery for your personal use.
It would be "nice" if we could rely on folks like you for support so that the real perpetrators of oppression and enslavement could be shoved back into dark caves where they belong. Instead you and your ilk tolerate and appease their uncivilized behavior and would sooner find a villian in a company that offers a job or a government that defends freedom.
On second thought simplistic fits but pathetic doesn't quite do the job...loathsome works better. Yep, Your responses are simplistically loathsome.
