Scholarships for Illegals???
This just in: "The California Legislature seems to have an endless supply of ways to encourage illegal immigration. Five years ago it passed, and Gov. Davis signed, AB 540 that allowed California students illegally present in this country to attend state colleges for the same in-state tuition charged to legal residents. Now the Assembly has passed, and sent to the Senate, SB 160 by Sen. Gil Cedillo to give scholarships and other financial aid to illegal aliens.
Other states are cracking down on illegal immigration. More than 70 laws against illegal immigration have been enacted in state legislatures this year, but California is moving in the other direction.
The injustice of this measure is obvious. A U.S. citizen from Nevada already pays $10,000 more per year in fees in the California State University system and $15,000 more in the University of California system than does an illegal alien. If this bill passes, California taxpayers will have to further subsidize illegal immigration by providing financial aid."
ACTION NEEDED
Ask your state Senator to reject this bill.

I remember when this came up before and it's so wrong it leaves me speechless...if you can believe that. It's just wrongheaded.
