Pelosi Tattles on Cheney
by Tina Grazier
The Vice President was in Tokyo recently and said this about the Pelosi/Murtha plan to restrict funding for the war:
"I think if we were to do what Speaker Pelosi and Congressman Murtha are suggesting, all we will do is validate the Al Qaeda strategy," the vice president told ABC News. "The Al Qaeda strategy is to break the will of the American people ... try to persuade us to throw in the towel and come home, and then they win because we quit."
The queen of the House, all in a huff, said this:
"And you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to call the president and tell him I disapprove of what the vice president said," Pelosi said. "It has no place in our debate."
Gee Senator, you’re playing with the big boys now…get a grip!

By Cheney's account, the British also must be ready to "validate the Al Qaeda strategy," by pulling their troops out of Iraq along with many of our allies. Or is this what they call "doublespeak?"

Thanks for the comment L.A. Simpson.
I don't know what Cheney would say about Blair. There is a difference between what the PM of England chooses to do and what citizens in leadership positions of our own country say and do. Blair is making a decision that he believes is in the best interest of his country. Pelosi and her pals in Congress are undermining our policy, in many cases a policy for which they voted yes. They are also encouraging the enemy and endangering our troops and innocent people in the world.
I think that the decision by Blair does validate the Al Qaeda strategy...as did Spains decision...as do war protesters and others in congress and in the media. They give aid and comfort every time they open their mouths. I don't know if Blair has buckled under to protesters or if he is following an honest war strategy, but it doesn't look good. I'll say it again:
What if the whole world stood firmly together, aligned in an effort to defeat the terrorists? What would that look like? What would it look like to the terrorists? No where to run...no where to hide. How fast might we get this task done...and how many lives would it ultimately save?
Al Qaeda loves wobblers. They are comforted in the knowledge that their space to operate and plan is opening with every hint of retreat. They can envision a time when everyone will go home, leave them alone, and then...911 was bigger than any previous plan. What evil do you suppose they will create to top that?
The anti-war position is a fantasy. It supposes that there is a valid opposing position...pro-war. Anti-war soldiers fight against that imagined enemy. What an incredibly silly waste of energy. There are real bad guys who feel driven to do us real harm.
To their credit Bush,Cheney and our soldiers have not wavered. Wobblers will be proven wrong, if not immediately, then sometime in the not too distant future. What will they have to say then? OOOPS...sorry, my bad?
