Pull Toys

It’s no secret that democrats want to change things from the top down. They want change in Washington and they want change in America. Yes, they want a better world, but what exactly does that mean?
Pull toy voters, many of them democrats, will tell you the change they seek includes world peace, a “sustainable future’, fairness, and an equal portion of the collective pie for all. If you ask them what that means they weave a pretty story about people learning to get along and resolving differences by gentle means. They tell you about alternative fuels, recycling, riding bicycles and newfangled light bulbs. They furrow their brows in deference to the “poor” and speak about “a living wage” and everyone sharing resources equally. They rail against Big Business and the greed of consumerism. When pressed for details, they look at you quizzically,
“Like, what else is there?”
Press them further and they frown and begin to call names. These are people who love the pretty pictures, the nice thoughts and kind, gentle treatment…of children, animals and even plants. But for the life of them, they can’t really tell you how to make Nirvana happen. They live on dreams and feelings and issues. Pull toy feminist, for instance, adamantly defend women’s rights, particularly a woman’s right to “choose”…which implies they somehow don’t choose before this other magic “choice” is made…but don’t confuse them with logic, they’ll go Rosie on you!
The current leadership in this party of fairness, caring, equality and choice is another story. Government, in their distinctive hands is “The Answer”. Never in the entire history of the world has any group been more brilliant…they truly see themselves as saviors to the world. Since all pull toys need an enabler, someone to pull that string, this combo becomes a magical fit. Together “they” will make a difference! The leadership is infected with the same pretty picture idealism as the pull toys. The difference is they have it within their power to effect grand sweeping ideas. And, wow, those ideas sound sooooo dreamy! World peace, they claim, is easy. And how do we achieve it…well, by being NICE, of course…and the little pull toys flip at the mere mention of it! Environmental issues are handled with equal aplomb. Pass a few laws, write some regulations, force people to make different choices by taxing them, by banning certain products…and by giving them x number of months to comply or be fined or tossed in jail. The little pull toys are screaming for joy now,
“Yeah! That’ll fix ‘em…how dare they so thoughtlessly pollute our world!”
As for that pie thing…that’s easy…tax those rich bums and then, acting as savior again, give it all to those who “have not”. Continue to raise the minimum wage until the hamburger flippers get the same as the hamburger owners. Share and share alike, well…at least with the profits, not, heaven forbid, the responsibility. Healthcare for everyone…it’s on the house…when government runs our lives we will have everything we want…let's all sing it now..."when the moo-ooo-oon is in the seventh house, na na na na…aren’t you thrilled about all this change?
Democrats are drenched in a haughtiness of spirit…they do not believe in you and me. They do not believe in the inventive creative spirit that has made America great. They do, however, believe that people are all “basically good”…and this is why they think being kind will stop mental cases from going on killing sprees and terrorists from blowing up buildings...and airplanes and train stations and small café’s and banks and government buildings and stock exchanges and subway stations…and lots and lots of people.
So here comes the bumper sticker...
Vote democrat…only through the beneficence of their leadership will you and the rest of the world survive.
You will buy that only if you are a pull toy voter.
