Snuggling With the Enemy

by Tina Grazier

Many Americans have been dismayed over the years watching democrat leaders give aid and comfort to enemies of freedom and democracy. A recent example is Harry Reid suggesting a time certain for leaving Iraq…it has to be a comforting thought for terrorists. Imagine being a kidnapper, rapist or murderer and being told from now on the police and the FBI will just ignore your activities.

Well they're spreading the joy again, this time in Latin America. A recent article in Investors Business Daily, ”Leahy’s Cut and Run” reveals the following:

Latin America: If the U.S. were neutral in Colombia's war against narco-terrorists, Congress' freeze on military aid might make sense. But we have a real stake in that victory. Withholding aid will hurt us directly. *** Sen. Pat Leahy, fresh from putting Attorney General Alberto Gonzales on show trial, also managed to find time Thursday for another low blow — against our ally Colombia. The Vermont Democrat froze $55 million in U.S. war-fighting aid based on unsubstantiated reports that Colombia's leaders were in cahoots with now-outlawed paramilitary guerrillas. *** The whisper campaign, spread by President Alvaro Uribe's enemies, probably was put out precisely to cut off U.S. military aid. Colombia's Marxist enemy in the war has been getting hit hard.

The Democrat Party leadership is threatening our freedoms and the safety of us all "in many ways and on many fronts". Pay attention...don’t be a pull toy voter…don't let them get away with snuggling with the enemy.
