Skin and Bones Zellweger?

by Jack Lee

renee.jpgActress Renee Zellweger best known for her roles in Bridgette Jones diary and the Edge of Reason seems to be wasting away from the cutesy curvy waif she played. Now she looks kinda bony from the neck down to her now knobby knees. The new look makes her look like one of those bobble heads you see cars.

Anorexia is not the look her fans want to see, is it?

According to the article I read Zellweger's ultra thin, size zero body comes from daily workouts and hiking in the Hollywood Hills...and probably lots of vomiting, but that's just my guess.

Being a celebrity must do weird things to the brain. Drunken Lindsey Lohan, Jailbird Paris Hilton, bald headed Britney Speers, dead Anna Nicole, ...all of these celebrutards have (or had in Anna Nicole's case) serious mental issues and/or substance addictions. Unfortunately they also had too much money and for people with no judgement, this always leads to excesses and personal distress. I ran this story in the spirit of diversity and because I thought Zellweger was better grounded than her twitty tabloid counterparts, but I guess not.

Maybe this is just my humble opinion, but I think women with a few extra pounds look far better than those who are slightly underweight, which seems to be what most women think they should be to be attractive to guys.

Jack, I sure would like to know the source of this photo...it looks photo shopped to me. If ou look closely the head isn't just a bit big but also comes forward in the picture with respect to the body.

It very well could be Renee's body, she was really thin when she did "Chicago"...all that dancing I suppose...but if so, I'd bet the "head" is from a different photo. It could also be the body of someone entirely different.

This, of course, doesn't detract from the your overall point; the female image thing has become absolutely insane. The "pop tarts' are particularly lost but the growing fondness for the "perfect" body is moving more in the direction of surgery and expensive skin treatments. Everyone is trying to live like the people with money and fame.

It strikes me as terribly shallow and self serving...empty. I'm very grateful for young mothers today who are protecting their daughters by directing them away from trashy self- indulgent endeavors and behaviors...and fathers who are providing their daughters with the attention they need from Dad and a positive example of what it is to be a good man. These things require putting your children's needs before your own selfish desires. We missed that in our generation and we're reaping the whirlwind.
