No Argument Here

“I was a lifelong Democrat only because the choices were limited. The Democrats are the party of slavery and were the party that started every war in the 20th century, except the other Bush debacle. The Federal Reserve, permanent federal income taxes, not one but two World Wars, Japanese concentration camps, and not one but two atom bombs dropped on the innocent citizens of Japan—all brought to us via the Democrats.” —Cindy Sheehan

Well, it's no more than any number of folk have been saying for quite some time: there is virtually no difference, in practical terms, between the administration of the dems and the repugs ... hasn't been for forty or fifty years now. But the vast majority of the unwashed aren't yet seeing it. Jack and I, between us, have the makings of a viable third party ... if the unwashed ever wash ... but I ain't holding my breath.

Hmmm, Libby...you have managed to intrigue. Please share the particulars of this "JaLib Third Party"..what would be your platform?

While you're at it, please explain why a third party would "manage" differently or better. I assume we're still talking human beings. Unless of course your assertion derives from delusions of superiority rather than an actual ideological difference...if so, that explains everything.

Jalib??? Hmmm...sounds more like something dangerous, uh, perhapw we could be the Jalib Fundamentalist Movement and then I suppose Libby could then be my Doctor Zawahiri, who by the way of an amazing coincidence runs the "Al-libi" wing of Al Qaeda...no kidding...there is truly an Al-libi wing. ( Boing! ) Wait just a second here, now that is almost too coincidental...Libby said she had a new job, now we have this new faction of Al Qaeda, the Al-libi's.... uh, oh, you don't suppose?

While Jack's idea would be less government, I fear Libby's would be, "the world according to Libby" Because, we, the "unwashed", have always been too stupid to understand the wisdom of Libby.
As evidenced by the many, many, maaaanny times the problems with her positions have been pointed out and explanations asked for, the response has been, Libby leaves for an extended vacation, perhaps to Camp Libby, or Libby Texas, until she feels it is safe to come back and throw another s--tbomb.

Of course, the upside to a third party with Libby, is that as she is liberal, the media would do little to point out how she ducks issues.

That's all great, but the part about dropping the atomic bombs got me riled. If anyone has any doubt that we should not have dropped the atomic bomb on Japan, they need a history lesson. And not a revisionist history lesson based on todays morality, but on morality based on 1945 values in Japan and the USA and then take into account the fanatical resistance planned to thrwart any invasion to Japan.

The best estimates say we would have incurred another 500,000 casualties and it would have been entirely likely that Russian troops would have taken half of Japan just like Germany.

There was no other option to end the war abruptly except to drop the bomb. I have an excellent documentary that details heretofor unknown Japanese plans to resist invasion. Virtually every Japanese citizen would have been turn into a weapon of war, booby traps, suicide bombers, kamikaze planes and more would have taken hundreds of thousands of American lives and many times that in Japanese lives, not to mention protracting the war by 6 months or longer while Russia made a grab for Japanese territory. This would have changed the dynamics of the cold war greatly. Cindy Sheehan is only showing her profound ignorance once again...the woman is a loon, a very dangerous loon I might ad.

Japanese concentration camps, and not one but two atom bombs dropped on the innocent citizens of Japan

I hesitated to defend America...at least not while "other party Sheehan" was doing such a fine job of unmasking the media created "saintly" dumocrats. But you are quite accurate Jack...when push comes to shove it's not pretty especially when the enemy has absolutely zero regard for human life and is filled to the top with pride and ego. It took two bombs...now that's BIG pride.

You'd be surprised. The thing is that, as things stand, you couldn't enact my platform democratically, I don't think. Something dreadful happens to our elected representatives the second they hit the capitol. It might be worth running for office just to find out what it is. Maybe Jack will tell us. I doubt it though, nobody else has come clean.

I mean, listen to Hilary. It is painful. Guiliani in drag. And now Ms. Feinstein has endorsed her candidacy. It's done. Any and all claim Hilary every had to progressive credentials ... finished.

They get up there, they do whatever "Fat Boy Holdings, Inc." tells them to. I suppose we can all be grateful that "Fat Boy Holdings, Inc." has an interest in the relative prosperity of the nation (at the expense of everybody else's nation), but it is just too creepy to live with. Think about it people, just what is the Fox TV Network all about? Distracting you from your hideous guilt, perhaps?

Oh, Lordy.

How about the latest Harry Potter? I'm only about a third of the way into it, but you know what? That British b--ch is makin fun of us. I don't like it much.

Dick Cheney may not have actually fed Valerie Plame to a giant snake, but he gives every indication that he'd like to. Valerie and six or seven other people. I don't find this entertaining.

And then, Rita Skeeter? I don't find Ann Coulter very entertaining either. Still less, am I pleased at living in a nation full of people who make a market for what the vicious tw-t does.

So far, the book has been very irritating, but maybe things will pick up.

Well that post had me going for a minute! But, now what I want to know is, how did Coffeesnob get Libby's email address on this post?

Not that I didn't totally enjoy his honest commentary on J. K. Rowling, but really, how did you get Libby's email? You didn't tie her up just so you could use her computer did you?
We can't have that going on... Libby please check back in and tell us you are ok!

ROFLMAO!

Any and all claim Hilary every had to progressive credentials ... finished.

So she has you fooled? Her progressive commitment is stronger than ever...but, she will say anything, do anything, deny anything, lie about anything, promise anything, promise opposing anythings...to grab hold of the president's spot. Relax.

I have a question, and for most folks I wouldn't sink this low, but...do you think America is ready for a horn dog as a first lady? I only ask because when Phil Gramm was running for president the liberal press had the shamelessly impudent un-PC nerve to ask if the country was ready for a Korean as a first lady...an ugly question. Of course they weren't referring to progressive voters...everyone knows they wouldn't think of something that racist and cruel!

...they do whatever "Fat Boy Holdings, Inc." tells them to.

Unless they're doing whatever Big Thug "Extortionists-R-Us Union," "Tax Schemer's Green Solutions Inc" or "Healthcare Tax & Scam, LTD." tells them to...not to worry Libby...progressives are well represented!

I suppose we can all be grateful that "Fat Boy Holdings, Inc." has an interest in the relative prosperity of the nation

Aaah, Libby...poor widdle Libby! Sweety, here's the good news, try to keep up. You don't have to buy "Fat Boy' products unless you want to...you have a choice. On the other hand, progressive "Tax Schemers Green" and "Healthcare Tax and Scam" what you have is zero choice. These will be mandated from on high and the tax to pay for them ill be mandated or else!

(at the expense of everybody else's nation)

Now see that's how you create division. Like a true progressive you just declare it to be so and voila! It's so! You could choose differently any time you want. Become Fat Boy idf you want or anything in between. Join the rest of us in the American dream. In this state you are free to be anything you wish...including a poor church mouse living happily in the country with her bicycle, her basket for shopping green and her little cupboard of homemade jams and jellies!
there is room for all of us. In fact, it works out quite nicely for everyone when you think about it...as long as they aren't lying about what they want and what they have...and why.

Libby you are always delighfully entertaining...I hope you will continue to offer your opinions...those gems of wisdom, forever!
