The Incredibly Controlling Hugo Chavez
Call him cuckoo -- Chavez changes time in Venezuela
Reuters, by Saul Hudson
CARACAS - President Hugo Chavez wants Venezuelan clocks turned back half an hour and he wants it done in record time -- next Monday. *** Chavez dismissed criticism that moving the time only a half hour was quirky, questioning why the world had to follow a scheme of hourly divisions that he said was dictated by the imperial United States. The change will put Venezuela on its own time zone, shared by no other country.
Gives time management a whole new...signification!

Plus, helps to rise crime rates since the people will be forced to come back home at night when they did it at daylight before.

Julia, Thank you for reading and posting a comment on Post Scripts. I had an opportunity this morning to visit your blog and enjoyed reading it. Your english is very good!
For those interested in a non-political perspective from what I gather is a fine student working on her thesis you can find Julia's blog here:

I hope you don't mind if I quote from your blog Julia. I'd like to give our readers the chance to experience what a visit would offer them. From Julias blog:
Part of the article 112 unchanged (roughly translated): "All the people can dedicate freely to the economical activity of their preference, without no more limitations than the previously established in this Constitution and those that establish the laws, for human development, security, health (...). The State will promote the private initiative (...)" **** The next are some of the changes Chavez propposes for this article: "The State will promote the development of a Productive Economic Model, interval, diversified and independent, founded on the humanistic values the cooperation and the superiority of the common interest over the individual ones, that it guarantees the satisfaction of social and material necessities of the people, the greater sum of political and social stability and the greater sum of possible happiness (...)". **** In short non- legal words: Once my thesis its done, I will be a sociologist looking for a job related to the field I freely choose 5 years ago. But under Mr Chavez reform, the government will have Constitutional rights to order me the following: "Your work as a sociologist its not usual for the Productive Economic Model. We need more nurses now, so go to the hospital". My unexistent nurse vocation will be irrelevant in front of the "common interest"
Julia's thoughtful comments about the changes that Mr. Chavez has proposed to make to the constitution will mean that the state will dictate what a persons profession shall be.
We stand behind you as you bravely speak out for your right to freely choose your own profession in your country...Venezuela.

Tina, thanks a lot for the support and for prommoting my blog, although I should say that my blog even counting that its very personal, it does provide a political perspective. So If someone is looking for a blog out of politics, my own is not the top choice
