Senator Indicted
Prosecutors indict Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, on charges related to thousands of dollars in services he received from a company that helped renovate his home. Stevens, the first sitting U.S. senator to face federal indictment since 1993, is running for re-election this year. He has steadfastly denied any wrongdoing.

I feel kind of sorry for him. I don't believe there's an 84-year-old on the planet who's got every single one of his marbles, and the Senate is no place for such people. Also, it reads a little bit like his son had a lot to do with this, but who knows.
Anyhoo, the heads of the corporate entity involved have already pleaded guilty to bribery. And from there, the FBI started in on the Senator. He can deny wrongdoing til the moon goes blue. Not a very illustrious end to what was quite a career in our sadly corrupted government.
