Obama's Birth Certificate Still An Issue
by Jack Lee
In what promises to be a historic background investigation, President-Elect Barack Hussein Obama, is still being checked for citizenship. This issue has by no means been properly resolved and a number of compelling questions remain to be answered before it will go away.
More information has recently surfaced which has returned this issue to the blogs. It's ironic, but understandable that the Mainstream Media has shyed away from this story and in some cases, the media came to Obama's defense labeling anyone with doubts about his citizship as “smear merchants” or “rumor-mongers”! But, try and they may this is still has legs.
It has been reported to the news wires a video on the internet shows the Kenyan ambassador stating that Barack Obama’s birthplace in Kenya is now a tourist attraction since he became president.
World Net Daily asks:
"1. If you were a natural born American citizen and had it within your means to quiet all the lawsuits and questions with proof, would you do it?
2. If you were a natural born American citizen, would you spend thousands of dollars to fight the legal cases against you, or would you simply answer the legitimate question of whether you meet the constitutional requirements for office?
3. If you were a natural born American citizen, would you forge a document called a “Certification of Live Birth” and tell the public it was a real “birth certificate”?
WND: If someone were to violate the law by manufacturing a forgery in order trick the public, would that be enough evidence for members of Congress to conduct hearings and for a court to issue an order for the critical records, including the original long-form birth certificate (signed by the doctor) to ensure that the U.S. constitutional requirements for office were not violated? After all, Congress is sworn to uphold and defend that Constitution, and the justices on the U.S. Supreme Court are “guardians” of the Constitution. That’s their job, isn’t it?"
In response to the clamor, the director of Hawaii’s Department of Health, Chiyome Fukino, confirmed that Obama’s original birth certificate was on file and that she had personally seen it.

One of the more interesting conspiracy theories about President-elect Obama is that he was secretly born in Africa, then apparently sneaked into the United States (in a banana crate?), and now is pretending to be a natural born American, born in Hawaii, when he's really a secret Muslim African who can't be president because the Constitution requires the president to have been born in the United States.
Only problem? Obama's American birth certificate was made public long ago. Snopes has it. And Snopes also has the birth announcement from the local Hawaii paper back when Obama was born. Very sneaky of the Obamas to have a child in Africa, yet simultaneously place a birth announcement in the Hawaiian paper on the same day, nearly five decades ago - in the pre-Internet era, no less - on the off chance that their child might grow up to be president and require an American-born citizenship.
I know, I know, snopes.com must be run by a bunch of liberals whose only intent is to fool the American people into believing Obama is really an American citizen - and legally president. Or you people are nuts. I'm just not sure
