Old Dogs to Fill Change Candidate's Administration

Posted by Tina

What was supposed to be a fresh new direction for America is shaping up to be just another take on an old script...Call it, “Clinton, the Barack Years”! Jennifer Rubin provides the current list. links to refresh the memory, and some excellent “Commentary”:

“Familiar Faces,” by Jennifer Rubin - 11.19.2008 - 8:07 AM

* Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, Rahm Emanuel, Eric Holder, Mona Sutphen, and Greg Craig, to name just a few. What is this, a Clinton class reunion? I get that the Obama team needs experience. I get that some of these people are moderates and pragmatists, which is good if you want to keep the country from going over a cliff. And as far as Secretray of State goes, most of the other mentioned alternatives are far, far worse than Hillary. *** That would be alright, I suppose — if the President-elect had not built his entire campaign on the premise that we had to throw the rascals out. *** With his vaunted creativity and renowned people skills, I am sure Obama can attract quality personnel from outside of the Bill Clinton yearbook. *

Or can he?

Good Heavens! You spent the whole campaign bemoaning his inexperience ... and now, you gripe because he's choosing persons of experience, old dogs if you will, to the cabinet. There's no pleasing you people.

I'm enjoying the Clinton/Clinton negotiations. Whatever has Bill been up to? Rolling in piles of anonymous cash, apparently. Sigh.

Pointing out that his campaign of change has turned into an administation of old dogs isn't griping...it's calling attention to what has apparently been a campaign lie...and it's only the beginning.

The challenges this man faces are daunting. His was billed as a campaign of change. The high expectations he screated will be very difficult to meet. His lack of experience put him in this position...it isn't smart to buy votes with outlandish promises.

For the record, I don't expect to be "pleased" by what this administration does (with or without the old dogs)...I am willing to be pleased however, which is more than I can say for most libs regarding our current president.
