Don Carey of Ohio has had it! The latest round of tobacco taxes raised the retail price of his "roll your own" tobacco by a whopping 2,153%, a price ol' Don just could not abide. So he's decided to grow his own and has begun the process of determining which seeds will produce the best crop from the plot of ground available to him. Out of work and with plenty of time on his hands he's reading and studying to learn the ups and downs of tobacco farming and curing.

Apparently tobacco, the finished product, is quite a challenge to produce but Don is determined to get er done. The Food and Drug Administration says the new law allows individuals to produce tobacco for their own use without being taxed. I expect a few more enterprising Americans will follow Dons excellent example.
