One Vike
It seems that the biggest response I see from questions about the GOP is who will lead. It's quite understandable when you consider that the GOP has not had a real leader since Newt Gingrich. Oh yea we all rallied behind GW, but other than the war on terrorism, he would not lead. Even in his defense of the war he was more willing to get along with the opposition than to defeat them. Well, here we are in mid summer 2009, and we are still wondering who will lead us.
Sad when you consider that the way Obama and his allies in the MSM are attempting to roll over the American people as if we were no more than bums in the street. I kept asking my self, where is the republican voice? Who will stand up with us, the people, and demand that evil be called evil? Who will dare step on the toes of the anointed one and tell him he is naked? Where is the the voice of reason from the the GOP? Well here she is ladies and gentleman, I give you Sarah Palin, the Bear from Alaska, a Kodiak, or if you would, a tiger that the Democrats cannot tame. Yes a woman who has more gonads then the whole Republican leadership combined.
In her first online comments since leaving office, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin called President Obama's health plan "downright evil". She went on to say that he would create a "death panel that would deny care to the neediest Americans. Those Americans who will suffer the most when they ration care, will be the sick, the elderly, and the disabled."
Well we know she is telling the truth because Obama and his minions in congress have said so. If you are too old and will be dead in five to ten years we will not waste the money to help. Obama said he would advise us that a pain killer would be better for the patient and for America. She defends the protesters and encouraged them to continue their struggle against this evil and overreaching idea of nationalized Health Care.
"We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate. Nationalizing our health care system is a point of no return for government interference in the lives of its citizens. If we go down this path, there will be no turning back. Ronald Reagan once wrote, "Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth." Let's stop and think and make our voices heard before it's too late." Sarah Palin
Think about that for a moment. We live in a society that does not want to admit that evil exists, that as long as we can all just get along, the bad in this world will not infect us. Of course, this is exactly how evil wins. Don't believe me? Look at the history of the world in just the last century. We were told at one time or another that Adolf Hitler, Mussolini, Joseph Stalin, Chairman Mao, Pol Pot, Castro, Chavez, and others were all misunderstood men who had good intentions. Well look what their good intention wrought upon mankind, 110,000,000 people murdered in the name of good intentions. Add to that evil, we have another 50,000,000 babies aborted around the world every year.
Yes evil exists, and it is nice to hear a politician say so. Sarah Palin is spot on, she knows the name and face of the enemy tearing at all that's good about America and she calls it what it is, evil. Palin is one brave soul to take on Obama and his goons, while using a term that the fools of the world like to scoff at. She also wrote in her posting,
"The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's, 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their level of productivity in society, whether they are worthy of health care or not. Such a system is downright evil. Nationalizing our health care system is a point of no return for government interference in the lives of its citizens. If we go down this path, there will be no turning back. Let's stop and think and make our voices heard before it's too late"
It is no secret that I am a huge Sarah Palin supporter, but I am not foolish enough to think that a few lines in her Facebook means she has reached her "Evil Empire" moment. However, from what I have witnessed since she came to the national stage is that, "when Sarah speaks the liberals tremble". It's my belief that she needs to get out and protest with the people, bring this spotlight on the situation, because right now the MSM is only giving us lip service. This the moment and this issue is demanding her attention. This would be a great springboard opportunity for her to lay the ground works for her challenge if she is willing. If she could make herself the face of Obama's Health Care defeat, she will be a lock in 2012. If she wants it she can have it, but we have yet to hear her make that claim. Imagine the crowds this woman could draw if she got out there front and center.
Thanks to Jeff Head for the use of his image.

Palin Says Obama's Plan to Overhaul Health Care is 'Evil'
Few people achieve the moral stature in this life to call something "evil," and those who achieve such stature do not use the epithet lightly. By the life she has lived, the choices she has made, the pain she has endured, and the grace with which she has endured it, Sarah Palin has achieved such stature... and she uses the term properly and advisedly!
I'm Mormon and I support Mitt Romney... for Sarah's Treasury Secretary!
It's bad enough that the republican party went down the drain following Bush, a winner. Now you want us to follow a loser, Palin? Worst yet she is a quitter. A party that hard up for leadership is doomed.
Sarah is taking it to the left like only she can. Direct and no prisoners. She is exactly what everyday, God-fearing traditional Americans have been waiting for.
Memories of Ronald Reagan and the landlside on Carter.
Glad to see my Kodiak graphic getting some exposure. Here's the link to the web page I developed specifically for it:

PYPR: At Post Scripts we had three writers for Palin and one dissenter...Jack Lee. Jack felt Palin was a good draw for Republicans and a good speaker, but not ready for prime time. He felt she was good at raising money, but as an intelligent and qualified conservative leader she came up short and he felt we must have better candidates. He also agreed with you again when he too felt her decision to leave office was not a good plan. That it raised many questions about her judgment, even though she said she did it so she could better carry the Republican message to other states. Jack has submitted several articles that articulate his reasons to like Palin, but not to run her for President. So you see the writers at Post Scripts don't walk lock step and Jack doesn't want you to follow Palin, so there you go, you just can't indict all of us at Post Scripts, we have too much... diversity!!!!
I think objectively. I’m looking, and I see no other figure as powerful in conservatism as Sarah today. Now, another voice may emerge soon, some off-the-radar firebrand that shocks America. A Glen Beck of pols. That would be great, my eyes are wide open for this person.
In the meantime, Sarah stands above the crowd, unafraid of Obama’s goons. I tell ya what: if she ISN’T the prez candidate, she’ll be that candidate’s biggest asset. Either way, she is the most important conservative politician in the nation right now. Not on paper, but in the zeitgeist where it really counts.
I really love Palin’s response here. She shows she has the ability to challenge the Demonrats and their radical agenda and to put it in blunt statements that get right to the absurdity of it all. I also like that she is willing to take the media to account because it is vital that the media be challenged in their tyranny because they are not above questioning themselves when they have shown themselves to be nothing but a propaganda piece for 0bama and the DNC. She is going to be effective in drawing an audience and what she says is powerful and to the point. This is a leader.
pypr...human beings are not frozen in time nor are they limited in what they can accomplish.
Sarah Palin already possesses many of the qualities that made Ronald Reagan what he eventually became. What she lacks can be learned. She has support from many people, some can fascilitate her in gaining the knowledge, training and experience that would make her an excellent candidate for higher office, including the presidency.
Palin made a decision to leave her office in Alaska. Decisions like that are made every day by responsible people in positions of leadership. You may think that makes her a quiter but what you think does not define what she is. She doesn't generally behave like a quiter, just the opposite. I think what we will see in the future is a very determined, committed Sarah Palin, a woman that will blow the socks off her detractors, including those in her own party.
I don't know what her plans are but I'll bet they are being developed like a finely honed military strategy. Phase one has already begun, what eventually follows will be executed flawlessly. The media and the left will do everything in their power to sink this woman but she will stay one or two steps ahead.
I look for great things from Sarah Palin in whatever capacity she chooses.
Jeff Head...thanks for the link.
Is the platform yours or do you know Sarah Palin (and have the inside scoop on what would be her platform)?
Keep it up Sparky!
PLEASE misunderestimate her! You Go BOY! I LOVE people like you! You are SO EASY to defeat! LOL
Sarah has 1000 x the intelligence Obama does, she isn't a narcissistic personality disordered pathological liar! She is for US, Liberals and Obama are out for themselves. Sarah is going to Kick Bambi's A$$!
Its HUNTIN SEASON! Lock n load! Get your Orange on!
I think that what is going on right now is the real reason Sarah resigned. At some point this "Cold Civil War" or "Peoples Revolution" is going to need a leader to coalesce around. It would have been hard for Sarah to remain Governor of Alaska while leading a revolution, because soon or later the two jobs would conflict, someone could even use ethic laws against her (what a novel idea using ethic laws against Sarah) because of the conflict. I think we have our own "Sam Adams" here in Sarah, and she is waiting for the right moment to come to the forefront when we need her and that time is soon.
As for hose who may attack her for being so brutally honest in the words she uses, Sarah will ALWAYS be attacked by the libs because they’re terrified of her. Like the article said, 'When Sarah speaks, the liberals tremble". If they do not attack her for what she said here, they will attack her for something else. Our founding fathers gave up fortunes, lives and families for America. I doubt that Sarah will go to a corner and suck her thumb because some Satan-possessed media critter might make fun of her. Please! SHE will be our “straight-talk express”, not McCain, etc.
What she says, and how she says it, is what people will listen to. They might not like what they hear, but at least they’ll hear it. Once a seed is planted in their pea brains, it could germinate in to an actual thought over time.
Go Sarah GO!
Sarah is going to kick Bambi’s a$$!
It’s HUNTIN season! Lock n Load! Get your Orange on!
How sad that a man who claims to follow God and His Son--professors of peace and unity--would also follow the goddess of hate and division.
Sarah Palin represents small-mindedness and narrow thinking--the forerunners of evil actions.
This is how the Devil works, though.
And he has done his job on Mr. Vike.
Quentin, whatever it is that you must be smoking, it is making you look foolish.
When I think of the statements individuals like you, K, and Libby make, I am reminded of the book of Isaiah. Did you ever go back and read it after my message last week? I would suggest laying off the pot for a few days first though.
Anyway, Isaiah 5:20 comes to mind when I read the things you have the audacity to say.
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
One last thing Quentin, I will put my knowledge of the Scriptures up against your any day of the week. You have this idea that you somehow understand things better than others, when in fact you are exactly what Solomon would call a fool!
The wise in heart will receive commands, But a prating fool will fall.Proverbs 10:8
Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool.Proverbs 10:18
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But he who heeds counsel is wise.Proverbs 12:15
Every prudent man acts with knowledge, But a fool lays open his folly.Proverbs 13:16
In the mouth of a fool is a rod of pride, But the lips of the wise will preserve them.Proverbs 14:3
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, But the heart of the fool does not do so.Proverbs 15:7
Excellent speech is not becoming to a fool, Much less lying lips to a prince.Proverbs 17:7
I'll stop there because I am sure by now you quit reading, most fools do not like reading the truth about themselves.
Good day sir.
"When Sarah speaks, the liberals tremble"
Ummm...you might want to look again there, Dudley Do Right.
What you think is a tremble is controlled laughter. Barely controlled laughter.
Sarah Palin has made a mockery of everything American...
Evil? Extending healthcare coverage to the 40 million uncovered is evil?
Oh, yeah ... Sarah is your girl, all right. You can all be wingnuts together.
Libby, let me ask you a point blank question... are you in favor of insuring illegal aliens in a national healthcare system? If you are, there's no point in discussing anything further.
I do think that our healthcare system is in need of fixing and tweeking. But, I'm not in favor of socialized medicine where accountants usings actuarial studies to make a determination on who gets a major operation and who doesn't.
You do realize that under a full socialized medical system rationed care is a must, right? We've pretty much beat this one to death and showed countless examples of it's failings wherever it exists. Surely, you can't believe this is not true at this point?
There needs to be some sort of affordable health insurance like a basic catatrosphic insurance policy. In this way nobody needs to worry about being wiped out if something really serious comes along and the plan would include preventative medicine, but with a small co-pay. We could do this if we had more competitition and rates were determine by market forces with a minimum of tort interference.
But, if we give somebody something for nothing it gets abused and the system can't handle the traffic, you do understand that don't you?
".. are you in favor of insuring illegal aliens in a national healthcare system? If you are, there's no point in discussing anything further."
Being a Christian, I believe that all people deserve love and care.
When someone with out insurance goes to a hospital for care, it slows down the health care system, and costs all of us more in medical insurance and costs.
A recent survey found that people covered by Medicare, receive better care, better access to care and are more pleased with their coverage than people with private insurance. So in the US, government health care works well.
The illegal alien problem is s separate issue. Big business loves low cost workers, like illegals. As soon as we deal with companies that hire illegals, the problem will be solved.
"Libby, let me ask you a point blank question... are you in favor of insuring illegal aliens in a national healthcare system? If you are, there's no point in discussing anything further."
Who told you that the 40 million were illegal? Somebody preying on your prejudices, perhaps? There is no point in discussing the rabid-right's mythological constructions that appear nowhere in the actual legislation. Get a grip.
I do think that our healthcare system is in need of fixing and tweeking.
Do it. Download the bill. Tweaking is all we are talking about.
"You do realize that under a full socialized medical system rationed care is a must, right?"
Again, check out the legislation. "A full socialized medical system" appears nowhere in it. And you options are already "rationed" by what your insurance will allow ... right? One of the very cool things about the legislation is that it prevents private insurers from "rationing" care by cancelling you when you develop leukemia, or by refusing to cover you because you have leukemia.
"We've pretty much beat this one to death and showed countless examples of it's failings wherever it exists."
No, you haven't. Kaiser works beautifully.
"There needs to be some sort of affordable health insurance like a basic catatrosphic insurance policy."
I though of that too, but it won't work, because the peasants will not pony up for such a policy unless forced to, i.e., taxes. And there is just no point in you saying: "well, screw 'em" because we still end up paying for their care. There is no hospital in this nation that will turn a desparately distressed person into the road (ooops, there is some for-profit-Texas-outfit that is in deep, deep doodoo), and us taxpayers foot the bill howsoever. It's much more equitable and efficient to just tax everybody.
"We could do this if we had more competitition and rates were determine by market forces ..."
This, I have to say, betrays a profound ignorance of medical procurement. Folk with appendicitis do not shop around. The surgeon on-call, wherever, gets the gig.
"... with a minimum of tort interference."
Again, the day you get the lawyers out of it ... we are back slithering in the slime.
"But, if we give somebody something for nothing ..."
This is just crap, and I'm sick of it. I pay taxes for services, there is no "something for nothing" anywhere in it. My government don't deliver, I replace my government.
Quentin...king of all that is logical and good...please say something substantive about this remark:
"Sarah Palin represents small-mindedness and narrow thinking"
Go on, I dare you. Show us your stuff, smart guy.
My brother, it is guys like you who crucified my Lord--and would again were He to show up in Chico . . . .
You don't impress me.
Ah, ya flatter me, babe!
It's real simple:
To represent means to stand in for others, OK?
Just as intelligent folks who want liberty and freedom are represented by true conservatives like Ron Paul, small-minded and narrow thinkers believe that Sarah Palin stands for them.
And I suppose that is OK. I believe in representative democracy as you know. and, even the brain-dead need someone to represent them.
Take yourself, for example. How many times have I told you I am NOT a leftist? I am a liberal--there is a huge difference. I have never once taken a leftist position--unless it agrees with my liberal views. Unless you ride the little bus, you know this, yet you CHOOSE to be stupid about it.
Sarah represents you perfectly. Like you, she does not listen to reason--she has her preconceived notions and she is not about to change them. The very definition of narrow thinking!
I hope that was substantive enough!
