More on Air America Radio
Excerpted from John D. "comments" on Air America. John points out that AAR reaches almost 1.3 million people a week on the internet. That's nice John, however just two hosts, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity do 80 million on a slow day! They do it on the air, against real competition, with real sponsors who eagerly stand in long lines just to get a spot on their shows. That 1.3 mil seems kinda puny compared to conservative talk radio numbers.
Liberal Air America would probably be doing great except for one thing, people don't like the radical liberal message. They don't like people constantly speaking against America or siding with the enemy. The vitrial coming from liberal talk-radio has bombed. AAR has few listeners, low ratings and few sponsors because their message has always been about criticizing America, making fun of Republicans, class warfare, defeatism and pessimism. Who wants to listen to that when we have Armstrong & Getty, Rush, Michael Savage, Michael Reagan, Bill O'Reilly, Liddy, Tony Blankley, Tony Snow, etc., to name but a few that are informative, entertaining and who often speak of patriotism and hope?

Hey, I'd listen to Air America if my radio could pick it up without a ton of static. I think that a lot of stations picked up Rush initially because station management was as conservative as he is. Very few station owners/general managers are going to hold the same views as Al Franken, so just getting on the air and getting promoted is going to be more difficult.

What, no vitrol from Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Liely, Savage and the rest? They made their names on attacking liberals and creating the very myths Nick Freitas regurgitates. They're an integral part of the Republican noise machine. Have been for almost a decade.
Limbaugh - that drug addicted, pimple-butted, war- dodging chickenhawk - is most responsible for creating the poison that passes for poltical discourse.
"80 million on a slow day"
Wow - let's see a source for that.

Your radio numbers seem to be way off, according to many news articles found on the Internet.
A Guardian article about the launch of Air America lists specific numbers. Here's the breakdown:
Rush Limbaugh: 15 million listeners
NPR's Morning Editon: 12 million listeners
NPR's All Things Considered: 10 million listeners
Other sites says Hannity's numbers are lower than the NPR newsmagazines.

Liberals had no use for radio before now because they had a lock on the flow of information in this Country. For something like 17 years, Rush has given us another avenue of information that the liberal media would never give us. From his first day on the air, the liberal stance has been the same. Rush lies, Rush is stupid, Rush hates, Rush is a racist, Rush is a homophobe, you ever notice liberals are 100% guilty of what they accuse others of?
As usual when you ask a liberal to provide any proof of their accusations they can never do it. When did Rush ever make up news? When has Rush ever lied?
Liberals are just very angry, their feet are being held to the fire, and their past words and actions are being used against them.
If Rush ever had a day when he only had 1.3 million listeners he would give up. Figures liberals would think 1.3 million in a week is a win. 1.3 million in a week? They can't get liberals to listen to it. Listening to Air America should be a requirement for welfare recipients. Not ever having to hear it again would be a huge incentive to get a job.
