TOSS THE @#$%* GENEVA CONVENTION!
by J. Mack
In reality, the Geneva Convention is just a set of rules on a peice of paper that countries give the pretense of following anyway, so let's just get real and do away with it altogether. Then we can get on with the business of doing what needs to be done to keep our country safe.
We as a nation have become so politicly correct we have become our own worst enemy. Since 9/11, the political/social landscape has changed dramaticly, and now changes need to be made accordingly or we will see many more 9/11 incidents. My question is, how many more will we have to see before we are awakened to reality? Unleash the beast that slumbers, bring America back to it's feet, and let the world see that we are able and willing to deal swiftly with those who would destroy us.

The author makes a great point about the Geneva Convention being basically a worthless piece of paper. I ask you, where in the world has it done us any good when a country didn't wish to obey it?
What consequences followed a known violation?
The long history of gross violations of the GC by our enemies are legion. Our enemies (now mostly fanatic Muslims) could care less about Geneva Convention. Want a few thousand examples, good to the middle east and see how any prisons anywhere are treated, open your history book to WWII, Korea, Vietnam or ask a POW.
About the only thing of consequence to restrain bad conduct was war crimes trials and they are always after the fact, after the damage has been done. And the UN style idea of justice is dispensed more by the low politics of the day than by the caliber of the crime.
Example: How many of those thousands of Japanese scientists and military leaders were prosecuted for the hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths in China by medical experimentation and mass executions?
Every hear about the rape of Nanking? The Chinese claim of a non-combatant death toll of 300,000 and that is just one City one time. There were many more cities and many more incidents just as bad, not only by Japanese, but by Russians, Germans, North Koreans, North Vietnamese, etc..
What about the inhumane torture and abuses of our prisoners of war in WWII and thats both civilian and military that were protected by the GC?
The Japanese did all sorts of ruthless medical experiments on Pilipino civilians. Very little ever happened to the perpetrators, they basically got away..so much for the GC.
If you ask a liberal, they never heard of any of these things or if they did they don't believe them, but you just ask them about U.S. internment of Japanese civilians in WWII and wow, they go ballistic!
Well, now I am heading off in a whole other issue but the main point is the Geneva Convention is to restrain us and not our enemies.
It's a fraud people, it's one sided and we are just too politically correct in high government to ever admit it. Unfortunately our brave soldiers in harms way pay the price for this PC and the incompetence of government to fix it, but then they can even secure our own Southern border!
VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS!

The UN has acted just as liberals in this country act. It's the "we can get along with everyone no matter what" policy and syndrome that includes every dictator, thug, and murderous despot...everyone, except "warmongers".
Liberal definition of "warmonger": 1. Any leader, or commander, of trained soldiers of peaceful, democratic nations who defend through the use of military tactics after being atacked and/or repeatedly threatened or terrorized even when, or particularly when, attempts at diplomacy have failed. 2. Any soldier who follows such leader or commander. 3. Any citizen who supports or defends trained soldiers and their leader/commander.
The biggest error we made at the UN was allowing participation of countries that, for whatever reason, were not prepared or inclined toward democracy. The result has been that dictators and thugs are in positions of control regarding "human rights" issues around the world. This is insane...like putting a serial rapist in charge of a girl's school...with zero oversight and accountability.
