Jack Lee Drops Out of Assembly Race
Feb. 13th, 2008
"Dear Friends,
It is with deep regret that I am announcing my withdrawal from the 3rd Assembly District race.
A close family member has just been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and when a crisis like this happens, we're forced to re-evaluate all our priorities. That is why it is my decision (and my family concurs) that I should leave this race and devote my time and energy to fight for the life of our loved one.
In reality this campaign was never about me, it was about our ideas. In that context our campaign is not over. We still want to see elections run honestly, strictly on the issues, where good character and inspiration matter most and winning by any means matters naught.
As I leave this race I want to take this opportunity to tell you what a rare privilege it has been to run for state office as your candidate. That part has meant more to me than you could know. Thank you very much for your support and encouragement!
I also want to extend my best wishes to my fellow Republican Candidates, Dan Logue and Sue Horne, and I encourage them to run a good race and make us proud!
Sincerely,
Jack "

Jack I'm truly sorry to hear this, but I can absolutely relate to your situation and applaud it.
Family must come first, otherwise what else have you?

Thank you for the kind words Anthony. Yes, it's so true about family, nothing else really matters. I know we'll have a good outcome here, it's just a matter of time and a whole lot of prayers.
