CHINA ABOUT TO STEAL US OIL/GAS RESERVES

by Jack Lee

American environmentalists are so concerned about us tapping into our vast off-shore oil and gas resources in the area between Florida and Cuba that they have blocked ALL drilling...zip, zero, nada, NO Drilling! And a fortune in gas and oil sit beneath the shallow sea. Sooner or later this had to happen… enter our old pals the Chinese! They say, hey you no want rill for oil? OK, it no problem stupid American, we rill it for you! Then we sell it back to you, ha-ha!

China has announced an agreement with the commies in Cuba to drill in Cuban waters to reach undersea oil/gas riches and start pumping out American natural resources because OUR INVIROMENTALISTS and GUTLESS POLITICIANS prefer you to pay out the kazoo at the pumps. It's a big lose - lose for us the little consumers who make less than 50k a year, who are struggling to keep up with the high pump prices already!

Stupid is as stupid does. . . In 1977 the United States and Cuba signed a treaty that evenly divided the Florida Straits to preserve each country's economic rights. They included access to vast underwater oil and gas fields on both sides of the line. Now, with energy costs soaring, Cuba has taken the initiative while we sit on our assets. And this is why I think we should replace "E pluribus Unum" on our money with something more appropriate, "Stupid is as Stupid Does". We might as well, our US dollar is a joke anyway, and it’s incredibly weak, weak beyond what is good or even necessary to help with the trade imbalance.

The Euro is trading at $1.59.5 to the greenback now and just think...it was only last year (2007) when our leader said, "Our dollar is strong and it's important we keep it strong, we want people to know that." No Mr. President our dollar wasn't strong even then and you sure haven't kept it strong. Fact is, it's weaker than ever and the world doesn't think it’s strong because it isn't!

Let me add a little more perspective to this weak dollar problem, it was just hours after the bad news broke about Bear Sterns going under, President Bush was in New York addressing the Economic Club, and he said this and I quote, "the Federal Reserve is doing good job... under the circumstances." Huh?

During the Q and A session, the President again said he believes in a strong dollar, but he did not repeat what he told the media earlier this week that he supports a stronger dollar. Ok enough, most of you really don't care about this, even though you should and then start making some noise.

Alright, so back to the oil and gas thing, I have to ask, where's "W" on this oil rip-off, anyone care to tell us? I would really like to know because it looks to me like we're going to just let it happen and do absolutely nothing about it!

WE ARE SO UN-BRILLIANT SOMETIMES I WANT TO PUKE!

Ah, yes. But if "we" drill the oil, what guarantees do we have that "we" would get the oil?
The oil from the North Slope in Alaska all goes to Japan!
Pretty soon you are going to realize that the environmentalists are in bed with the oil companies. They have been for some time! The oil companies are the ones who are putting the environmetalists up to it--so they can raise the price!
I mean, DUH!

Fabulous "DUH". I'm all ears. Can you share some sources other than your own "original thoughts" that would suggest this might be true? Usually there's a money trail or a political deal complete with fraud or collusion that turns up. Thats how the "Oil for Food" scheme was uncovered. I'd be interested to find out how you came to this conclusion.

Tina,

I've shared Quentin's suspicion for a long time about oil companies and environmentalist groups. Whenever extreme environmental laws have been passed, the effect has often been that small, mom and pop gas stations were financially ruined, leaving them open to being bought up by the bigger corporations.
And look what the enviro-whackos have done to jobs in America! We have to import everything now because we can't even harvest our own trees! Trees, mind you, that can be replanted and grow back, just like corn or rice.
Still, it would be nice if we had more evidence and not just our theories, but Quentin is definitely on the right track here.

Dane, I had a friend this happened to so I know what you are saying. Personally I think the communities should have picked up that bill since clean up was for the benefit of the entire community and the small business did not intentionally polute.

Quentin's assertion: The oil companies are the ones who are putting the environmetalists up to it--so they can raise the price!

This makes zero sense from a business perspective. The idea for business is to bring a good product to market as cheaply as possibly. The enviros have greatly gotten in the way of this. Why would oil companies desire to restrict the amount of product they can bring to market? Why would they want to limit where they can drill?
So that customers will be angry at the resulting higher prices? Besides the price of oil per barrel is not determined by the oil companies but by the commodities market...like beans and corn (theres another enviro sabotage for you).

As you probably know, if you have read my posts, I have no great love for the Al Gore variety Enviro...the rest of your comments about jobs, corn, rice, and trees (spotted owls live in K-Mart signs!) is right on the money.

Another porblem with this theory is that it deosnt take into account, that il companies dont need the enviornmentalists to hold up their product, they can do it themselves if they wish.

I do agree that big buisness along with big labor, all attempt to use the government for protection against the competition of the free market.

But Quentins assertion that "Oil companies are the ones putting them up to it" suggests that enviornmentalists need to be "put up to it".

As far as Quentins demand for a guruntee that we get the oil, well that is just nonsense. Oil like every other commodity goes to the highest bidder. But a general iincrease in supply, usually results in lower prices.

Quentin is upset at one moment, because the government is used to interfere in the market, and then upset the next because they wont be used to determine where a commodity is sold.

Ive got a great idea, why dont we just let prices determine where a commodity is sold. Its going to happen that way anyways, why fight it?

Ya got me, Nick.
Why should we get our oil? Just because it's under our country is no reason we should reap the rewards of that blessing. You're right! Let this highest bidder have it. If it's the Chinese, who cares? We've sold them everything else of ours! Your critical thinking is a sharp as your spelling.

Once again, Quentin chooses to skirt the point of the post and correct spelling.
