ALERT - California Budget Worse Than Forecast

The news today was a little worse than yesterday, which was a little worse than last month, which was a little worse than last year. The projected budget deficit started out in 07 at 10 billion, soon rose to 12 billion and then it was 16 billion and today the prediction is (drum roll please)...$20 billion!
You're not shocked...uh, you say you pretty much expected this? Wow. It's amazing how brilliant the average citizen can be when compared to the average legislator, who has been completely blindsided by this budget shortfall. What is it about those people, are they living in a different world than us regular folks? Are they so well insulated with their own personal finances that they don't feel the financial hits we take every day, in the rising costs of food, the depreciation in our home equities, the pump prices that cut into our clothing budget or worse, our food budget?
Whatever it is, too many legislators seem too detached, out of touch and aloof from our mundane lives and what a balanced budget looks like. This more than anything else, is why California has a budget deficit greater than the sum of the other 49 states! We have a huge income, it's not our income...it our spending.
Here's a novel idea, why not thank your local Democrat politician for dragging us into the poor us by casting a vote for anybody else except a democrat?!!!!
