Barrack Obama Rewrites Lessons From History

by Jack Lee

"Those who have not learned from history are doomed to repeat it." It is an old saying that has been proved to our chagrin too many times in peace and war. Barrack Obama now joins an elite club of people refusing to learn from history when he said recently, "I trust the American people to understand that it is not weakness, but wisdom to talk not just to our friends, but to our enemies, like Roosevelt did, and Kennedy did, and Truman did."

Based on the above, Mr. Obama is not only rejecting history's lessons, he doesn't even know his history because he sure got it wrong!

Obama_oregon.jpgWhen FDR died and Truman took over he continued his policy of an unconditional surrender for Japan right to the end. He did not negotiate with Japan's zealot militarism which would have kept it alive and viable, he crushed it when he dropped the A-Bomb and that ended the war. A few

,

years later North Korea invaded South Korea and Truman responded with military force, he didn't call for a sit-down with Dictator Kim Il Sung! Roosevelt never sat down with Adolph Hitler; Benito Mussolini, or Hideki Tojo. Neither did Truman sit with Korea's dictator. How could Barrack Obama have missed these gems of history? How could the media not call him on it?

If Obama did a sit-down with Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad no doubt he would hear many pleasantries and have a cordial conclusion. Ahmadinejad would gain in credibility and the US would open itself to subtle manipulation by a government that has vowed to wipe Israel off the map. Just days ago in Pakistan Iran's President called Israel a, "tyrannical regime that will one day will be destroyed."

In 1961 Khrushchev miscalculated when he sent missiles to Cuba and it cost him dearly. He felt Kennedy would negotiate and then the USSR would gain substantial concessions. Unexpectedly President Kennedy had other ideas and resorted to military confrontation, no doubt from his lessons learned during WWII as a naval officer.

How the mass media could let Obama have get off without challenging his gross misstatements about Roosevelt, Kennedy and Truman negotiating with our enemies is nothing short of a sellout, a total betrayal of their own journalistic ethos for their leftwing bias! Then again, with today’s "new" journalism whatever serves their bias gets a pass, history has proven that one too; so why should we expect any better?

The latest data on Obama shows him short 162.5 delegates to secure the necessary 2025 delegates to get his party's nomination. Obama can't be stopped and he is the next democratic candidate. What is worse, he could be your next president.
