Fair Political Practices?
by Jack Lee
Imagine you are applying for a government job and you are standing in the applicants line when the big boss comes out and talks to an old friend in this line and takes him into his office. He offers his friend the benefit of
his insider's knowledge about the job opening, he gives him tips that will go over with the oral board, he supplies him with answers to the written test, he walks him around the company and introduces him to all of his friends, some of whom will soon be sitting be sitting on the oral board interviewing candidates. He decries to all his friends and subordinates, "This is the man we should hire. Now let our fair hiring process begin!"
Got a problem with this as a candidate or a taxpayer? Read Sneaky Politics below, it will shed more light on a questionable practice in elections. (I think we can do better and we should for the sake of our elections)

Hey Jack (ha-ha) you hit the jack pot when you have C.Wagnor,S. Thompson and J.Legerwood all lined up against you! personally I think you are right only i do not think you are going to change anything. politics is corrupt from top to bottom. you are not really changing anything in my way of looking at it. I have been in Butte county for over 45 years and i know most of our elected officials. my advise is forget trying to be a crusader and talk about anything else. Put up more jokes. everybody could use a smile.
I don't want my name in this letter because its better they be mad at you than mad at me.
