Meatloaf, Not A Great Meal, but OK

by Toby Stahler

Clinton, Obama, it doesn't matter, they are both unelectable. It boils down to one simple truth, your average white guy wouldn't vote for either of them. I am just calling a spade a spade and saying it like it is.

As a republican I feel shafted with our choice but I take great comfort in not being a democrat and how badly they got screwed.

McCain will win this because he is someone we can all "live" with. He is a RINO and they know it and when he wins they will act like they really pulled one over on us. I am all for having someone in the WH we can all agree is an ok choice. McCain is that, he is an ok choice.

That is really sad. Our best choice for POTUS could also be meatloaf with a side of mashed potato's. It's an ok meal not great but, ok.

Mr Stahler; I think that if you talk to a few more "average white guys," you might need to retract that 2d sentence.
I just had another friend of mine (retired military with a son in the military; still works for the government) tell me he's had it with the Repubs and he's voting for Obama. To him Obama represents change.

I'm still trying to get him to vote for Ron Paul.

(My late wife's meatloaf was great!)

I cant believe Im saying this, but I agree with Quentin.

I would be just as happy never seeing the skin color of another presidential candidate as long as I live. Just send me a copy of his core principles, life experience and voting record, and Ill make my decision based off of that.

By the way, anyone who says that they're voting for Obama because they've had it with republicans, isn't taking their vote seriously.

While I think Ron Paul's foreign policy is naive, his domestic policy carries a great deal of merit.

Ron Paul is an intellectually honest choice for someone fed up with the Republicans, Obama is NOT.

I just wanted to point out real quickly, that while he may be an intellectually honest choice for a disgruntled republican, I do not believe he is the best choice.

That, unfortunately falls to McCain.

Paul fails to see what is at stake in Iraq. And at this point in time, we simply cannot afford such a mistake as accepting defeat in Iraq.

Paul fails to see what is at stake in Iraq.

Paul fails to see what is at stake in the world. He thinks we can hunker down in the American "Alps" and make the world go away.

Obama thinks we can make nice with our enemies...which in his case (and others like him...Pelosi for one) is probably true. That short little nut job in Iran would love to shine Obama on all day while quietly pressing for the destruction of America. And when I speak of the destruction of the land of the free I'm not talking about the land but instead about the free. Establishing a worldwide caliphate is the goal and patience with fools like Obama and Paul is something they can play 24/7 for generations to come.

This is not going away...it is NOT Bush's war...it is war made by those who sponser terrorism for extreme religious beliefs...and for the gratification of ego driven dictators.

We need a strong leader. McCain is as good as we can get.
