The Continuing Pursuit of "Fair Play"

by Tina Grazier

It would seem that freedom has it lost it's value and meaning for the average American. Today there seems to be a greater interest in fairness. Fairness is the hope of the future with diversity, inclusion, controlled wages and work environments and diversity training and even re-education seminars for errant souls who dare to cross that imaginary fairness line. This matrix of behavioral, educational and hiring pressures and controls has been gradually constructed over the past fifty or so years as a means of giving people equal opportunity...or so we were told. But it doesn't stop liberals from promising even more fairness:

"Hillary Clinton is a prayer of every American who really longs for fair play. She intends to help our country become what it can become. She dares to say human beings are more alike than we are unalike." - Maya Angelou
