I’ve been looking for a local source for reloading powder (gunpowder) and other reloading items and I found it today at a strange place…the CVS pharmacy across from Trader Joes in the mall.
What a pleasant surprise! They have a great sporting goods section and their selection of various rifle and pistol powders in one pound cans was excellent and the prices were good too, about $5-7 less than what I would expect to pay at Huntington’s in Oroville. They also carried a wide variety of RCBS products and shooting related items. This was the best selection I’ve seen in Chico ever!
They had a decent supply of various types and brands bullets, various calibers of brass and all kinds of loaded ammo. I’m surprised that fascists in Chico let them move in or they didn’t force them to make cut backs like Michael Moore did to Wal-Mart! Around this town an unpopular corporate business gets the ol fire bomb treatment, remember poor Wendy’s in downtown? And there was also MacDonald’s on Mangrove that got bombed and some of Wittmeirs new SUV’s that those liberal tree hugging fascists hate so much were tagged or vandalized. Ah, our dear liberals, they’re all about peace and justice aren’t they?
Anyway… while I’m being directed to the right location by a CVS female employee this older man (wearing the liberal uniform) apparently overhears me asking for gun-powder and he says, “Yeah, sell him some powder so he can make a bomb” and he walks off. And he wasn’t kiddin, this was meant to be a serious insult. I didn’t say or do anything I just let it go. But, its people like that who vote the liberal ticket because they think they are so above the rest of rest us peons with our guns and Bibles. This guy assumed I was a bad person because I reload bullets???
In the legislature they all feel people like me are the enemy because we own guns. This is exactly why they have done their best to inhibit and obstruct my gun ownership hobby. For example, they recently passed the high capacity magazine law that says If I have 11 rounds in my magazine I am committing a felony, but if I have only 10 rounds in it I am perfectly legal.. Go figure that one? The dems have continually raised the firearms purchase fees, added to the paperwork to buy a gun and in general made it a real pain to buy a gun of any kind in California.
We can’t out vote em and we can’t shoot em…so what to do? I know a lot of people are voting with their feet…they are moving out, leaving this state.
The funny part is, Calif. has gone broke under the control of democrats and come next election very little is going to change…they’ll mostly be reelected. It’s because the demographics, i.e., stupid verses smart people… and here in CA we’ve cornered the market stupid. Jerry Brown is counting on the stupid vote to put him back in for a 3rd term. Bet that nasty patron at CVS will be voting for Jerry, against 23 and for Barbara Boxer.
