Deception @ Presidential Healthcare Webpage

Posted by Tina

According to Weekly Standard the President’s signature healthcare law website, Healthcare.gov, has been informing visitors to the site that they can get free healthcare: “If you can’t afford any health plan, you can get free or low-cost health and dental care at a nearby community health center.” This was the happy response to the query, “Where can I get free or low-cost care in my community?”

But that reference to “free healthcare” has now been deleted:

Even as President Obama and his administration are making a last minute push to encourage enrollment in Obamacare, a quiet change was made on the Healthcare.gov website regarding those who will still not be able to afford coverage after the program kicks in. …sometime between September 16 and September 23, the reference to “free” care was dropped. The title of the topic was changed as well, and now reads: “Where can I get low-cost care in my community?” (See how page originally appeared and how it now looks by following the link)

So before the enrollment date the poor could get free healthcare if they couldn’t afford it but now they can only get low cost care?

And this is an improvement with the working man losing his insurance at work, doctors losing their practice to BIG Kaiser, and healthy citizens choosing a fine rather than participation which spells disaster for the plan working economically?

This administration just cannot be trusted…period. The people must continue to scream for repeal of this dogs*#y law.

We can do So much better but it will take Republicans, Democrats, and Independents who love America to get it done.

Again – Obumble is not known as the Liar-inn-Chief for no reason . . . .

  2. Chris says:

The end of that Weekly Standard article says:

“It may be that community health centers will still offer free care to some, but visitors to Healthcare.gov will no longer be made aware of the option.”

So…they’re basically saying the question and answer are accurate either way, right? What exactly is the issue here?

  3. Pie Guevara says:

Duh. Obama is “basically” saying there may be free health care but we are not going to let anyone know about it.

“before the enrollment date the poor could get free healthcare if they couldn’t afford it”

We have been told over and over that we had to pass Obamacare because people couldn’t get health care…it was one of the emotional selling points to get it passed. According to the information that was on the site (now absent) that selling point was not true. The legislation was pushed on the public through an untrue emotional appeal.

    And look at the wreckage.

Now the working poor have to buy insurance or pay a fine. They will also discover the wonderful world of deductibles and co-pays. They will get to renew their coverage and see premiums go up. How have they benefited much from this law if at all?

In fact, why is this plan better for the people generally when it doesn’t do much to help the poor, it doesn’t help young people just starting out, in fact it hurts their chances to find employment and saddles them with another expense, a fine, if they risk (they’re healthy) and go without insurance.

People in the middle class are losing their insurance, or the insurance for their family members at work…will they get a better deal on the exchanges or will this just mean higher costs for them (In an economy also harmed by the legislation)?

Seniors don’t benefit; medicare is being taxed and doctors are choosing not to accept medicare patients because their compensation is being cut (again) at a time when we need more of them due to the large Boomer population that’s beginning to join the ranks.

It is also estimated (CBO) that 30,000,000 will still go without insurance. (Another emotional, meaningless talking point to sell Obamacare)

Further evidence on the wreckage for those interested:

    Tampa Tribune

    USA Today

    Reason

The bill was written to serve Democrat ambitions.

The bill was based on misinformation and lies.

The bill was sold using the people’s heartstrings rather than common sense and sound principles.

The bill Takes power from people and puts tremendous power in the hands of unelected bureaucrats.

The bill blunts individual practices and private businesses in favor of big (corporatist) monopolies.

The bill blunts variety and choice in the insurance industry.

The bill places a big tax and regulatory burden on the public.

There is more wreckage but who has the time to post or read every example?

The bill was not well thought out. Unintended consequences and alternative ideas were not given consideration; the Pelosi’s and Reids didn’t want to hear about concerns and considerations…and warned, they demonized the messengers rather than working to overcome those considerations to make the legislation better to serve the people.

This law is a piece of trash. People’s lives are being harmed pretty drastically (loss of jobs, loss of businesses, loss of healthcare and doctor choices, higher out of pocket costs, a drag on the economy) It doesn’t make sense when there were alternative solutions that would actually serve the people, fix the problems, bring costs down, and probably help the economic outlook for the country.

The only thing that makes sense is what we told you from the beginning. This was about power and dependency…centralized government and the last leg of the stool that creates a permanent dependecy citizenry (Democrat voters).

    Tina gets it.

  6. RHT447 says:

“The bill was written to serve Democrat ambitions.”

“Now the working poor have to buy insurance or pay a fine.”

Yup. It is yet another massive “redistribution” of wealth scheme to fund the buying of votes. Resist paying the fines and government agents with guns will show up at your door to get the money. What’s the difference between the Mafia and the IRS? The interest rate.

  7. Tina says:

What else? Breaking legs is messy.

  8. Tina says:

Only one in eight American knows Obamacare sign-ups starts today according to one poll.

Do they care about having healthcare to the degree we’ve been told?
