About Post Scripts and Comments

Post Scripts is a free speech site and we encourage lively exchanges, inspired tidbits, heartfelt opinions and breaking news.  This is what makes this site successful.

People that read PS do not come here to read a hecklers one liner rants.  Posts like, “Bush is a liar”, “The Koch brothers are evil”, etc.,  are void of intellectual content and they will not be accepted for publication.  People who pen such things are akin to hecklers at a political speech.  They are not welcome here…they’re dullards and boring!

PS has been around for almost 8 years for a reason…we post news, ideas and views that inspire and inform.  As a result, we have a large number of faithful readers.  We owe it to you ( readers and commenters) to keep our standards high, because ultimately this is your site.

When given a chance to express ones opinions, we should take advantage of the opportunity in a respectful manner. Those who can not, and they are easy to detect, do not deserve the attention they seek from their distracting posts.

It will be refreshing to see if they can participate in the future and actually contribute some insight to differing opinions without the need to be offensive.

I have watched for a long time the patients of both Tina and Jack ,as well as other posters bend over backward to bring a degree of civility back to these boards, but some have failed to realize what a unique opportunity “Post Scripts” is. As for myself, they will not be missed as disruptive or developmentally negative contributors.

Good call. We want this to be an informative blog where people can come to enjoy lively discussion…hopefully in a way that entertains.

On a completely different note …

    Open Query —

Does anyone else besides me think it very possible that Putin, former chief of the USSR’s KGB Federal Security branch, helped to engineer and encourage the Ukrainian revolt so he would have an excuse to take Crimea?

  4. Tina says:

I think its a very good possibility. It may be he’s been planning this since Obama decided to dump the plans for a missile defense system in Poland and the Czech Republic. Which begs the question, “What did Obama mean when he said he’d have more flexibility after the election?” I think Pootie Poot would like nothing more than to reverse the victories for freedom that resulted from the diplomacy of Reagan, Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II…all the way to the Berlin Wall (and beyond?).

Pie there is not a shadow of a doubt in my mind the Crimea is a Putin inspired event. I hope it costs him.

In 2008 Russia tried to convince China to join them in dumping Fannie and Freddie stock to collapse the US economy.

‘Jaw-Dropping’: Former U.S. Treasury Secretary Makes Bombshell Claim About Russia and 2008 Financial Crisis (and Why It May Sound Familiar)

Talking about the 2008 financial crisis, particularly the issues with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, former U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson explained that the Chinese were the “biggest external investor holding Fannie and Freddie Securities.” Because of this, China was “very, very concerned” when Fannie and Freddie began to melt down.

That’s when the Russians allegedly tried to iron out a pact with the Chinese.

“Here I’m not going to name the senior person, but I was meeting with someone… This person told me that the Chinese had received a message from the Russians which was, ‘Hey let’s join together and sell Fannie and Freddie securities on the market.’ The Chinese weren’t going to do that but again, it just, it just drove home to me how vulnerable I felt until we had put Fannie and Freddie into conservatorship [the rescue plan for them, that was eventually put in place],” Paulson said.
