As If You Need Another Reason to Leave California…SB 1005

by Jack

Next Wednesday, April 30, the Senate Committee on Health in California will hold a public hearing on Senate Bill (S.B.) 1005, which would make illegal aliens eligible for either taxpayer-funded Medi-Cal benefits or subsidized health insurance premiums through the California Health Benefit Exchange.

Please take a few minutes to email or call the members of the Senate Health Committee and tell them to oppose taxpayer-subsidized health insurance and taxpayer-funded health care for illegal aliens. Only with your help can we stop S.B. 1005.

“INTRODUCED BY   Senator Lara,   (Coauthors: Senators Block, Calderon, De León, Mitchell, Padilla, and Torres)
(Coauthors: Assembly Members Bocanegra, Bonta, Dickinson, Fong, Gonzalez, Roger Hernández, Jones-Sawyer, Pan, Rendon, and Yamada)”

_________________________________________________________________________________

Apparently the fabulously wealthy California is not yet fiscally destroyed, even though we billions in debt.   In order to finish us off the democrats have concocted this fiscally and ethically irresponsible bill to insure our financial demise.

I don’t know about you, but I do not intend to give one dime of my tax dollars for free healthcare for illegal aliens!  I don’t care where they are from… but, in my world illegal to means I-L-L-E-G-A-L.   I will have no part of it – it’s just plain wrong!  Why? For starters, it’s against our Constitution.   Our representatives are supposed to be protecting our borders, not encouraging border violators!

This is the kind of costly, junk legislation that is undermining our melting pot society and that’s wrong too.  Its putting our State and our nation at risk because we can’t meet the burdens we have already.   It’s a travesty that makes the latest round of indictments of dirty democrats in CA pale by comparison!

Is there anyone, anyone… out here in their right mind who thinks this bill would never have been considered if it was not for a severe “conflict of interest” by Senators Calderon, Lara, Deleon, Padilla, Torres, Gonzalez, Bonta, Hernandez, et al.

They are using their ethnicity as the not-so- hidden motive to produce special interest legislation for illegals.   They’re putting those ethnic ties ahead of the State and the Nation’s welfare.  This is fine for La Raza, which means all for the race, but it’s not fine for elected representatives.

They’re telling us (legal citizens and taxpayers) we can take a flying leap if we don’t like it and they will keep doing this over and over and they will get re-elected for it too! That’s the worst part, they now have the Hispanic voter numbers to get away with it.

Look folks, this is real simple:  These people were elected to represent [this] State, and that means all of us, white, black, or whatever your ethnicity/race.   You can’t single out one ethnic segment of the population for special treatment!  Ethnic politics should never be allowed, it’s divisive.   They all swore an oath to us and now they are violating that oath by attempting to give away our wealth to illegal immigrants in the form of free healthcare.

It seems fairly clear to me that they were NOT elected to be advocates for Mexico’s citizens or do you not agree?

Illegal immigration is not improving this State and that’s a fact.  If it were I might have a change of heart!  What it is doing, and we can prove it, and I have proved it a thousand times over, is causing a hardship in our schools, law enforcement, prisons, welfare, and healthcare and a lot more.  Illegal immigration is a threat, it’s why the nations of the world have an immigration process unique to their country.   Mexico is no exception, they have an immigration policy and it’s really tough on the violators, but apparently some in this country would have us open our borders and exhaust our coffers to pay for things illegals demand.

The fact that these Senators that would take such a bold step and offer free healthcare to Mexico’s citizens that sneak in to CA is very telling how far they are prepared to go for their people verses the rest of us.  This is going beyond a mere crime, it’s akin to treason.

If you think this kind of reckless, racist, legislation is not a danger to maintaining a safe and stable California then you’re NOT thinking!

Ironically, this article reads as if the writer is not a native English speaker.

Seriously, you might want to calm down a bit before hitting submit. I can barely find a grammatically correct sentence in the entire piece.

    • Post Scripts says:

Help me out Chris…please. Show me how I could have punctuated it better and all my misspellings? I’m open to learning and you’re the new expert on the block. Help out for a change, ok? So, what do you think about SB1005? Do you support this bill?

  2. Pie Guevara says:

The Progressive Democrats who run this state are completely insane. ALL progressives are completely insane.

  3. Tina says:

Jack, the massive transfer of wealth that is the top goal of the fundamental transformation president has really caught on everywhere. It’s not surprising that these legislators would find this source for illegals living here.

If this bill passes the amount of taxpayer money spent on healthcare for illegals will be sizable. According to the OIG the HHS spent a bundle…mistakenly, of course:

In a new report released Friday, the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Inspector General (OIG) revealed that for calendar years 2010 through 2012, CMS provided $26.2 million in improper payments to Medicare Advantage organizations for 1,600 “unlawfully present beneficiaries” — or nearly $16,375 per illegal immigrant.

According to the OIG, CMS did not have policies in place to notify the Medicare Advantage organizations about the legality of potential beneficiaries. Without such data, illegal immigrants were able to enroll with Medicare Advantage organizations.

“In contrast to its fee-for-service (FFS) program, CMS did not have policies and procedures to notify the MA organizations of the unlawful-presence information in its data systems. Had CMS provided this information to the MA organizations, they would have been able to prevent enrollment and to disenroll beneficiaries already enrolled,” the report reads. “CMS would then have been able to recoup any improper payments.”

Illegal immigrants are barred from obtaining federal health-care benefits. Last year, the OIG revealed that from 2009 to 2011, Medicare payments to health care providers for services rendered to illegal aliens totaled more than $91.6 million.

A few million here a few million there…and nobody can figure out why the middle class is shrinking?

Wealth transfer = shared misery and lost opportunity!

By the way, I see nothing ironic about the article and I was able to find grammatically correct sentences within it. I found a few errors also but easily skimmed past them.

  4. Pie Guevara says:

As usual, the smug, snotty, progressive pissant attacks the messenger, not the message. He attacks and sneers at Post Scripts and does not even address the issue raised. This is like a broken record. It has been going on for years. Seriously, Chris, you ridiculous ass, you might want to consider calming down a bit.

Have you had enough of Chris, the bully? Chris the sniveling anonymous coward? (All bullies are cowards, Chris is no exception, he IS the rule.)

Eh, Post Scripts? Had enough of this @$$hole pissing on you daily? Pissing on you hourly? No? Well then, just keep on enabling and giving this laughable and despicable scum bag of a human being a platform to spew his sneers and hate speech. *YAWN*

  5. Pie Guevara says:

I am not surprised either, Tina, but I believe it is more correct to say that California has been paving the way, not following in Obama’s footsteps.

I am very happy that I procured a Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol before California passed that ridiculous firing pin micro-stamp law and Smith and Wesson as well as Sturm Ruger stopped selling their semi-automatics in this Rat run state.

I am also glad I procured several thousand rounds of ammunition before the Rats make that impossible to get too.

  6. Chris says:

OK, Jack. *puts on editor hat* I’ll bold all the corrections needed:

“Apparently the fabulously wealthy California is not yet fiscally destroyed, even though we are billions in debt. In order to finish us off the Democrats have concocted this fiscally and ethically irresponsible bill to ensure our financial demise.”

Thank you for pointing that out Chris, that’s very helpful. I’ll try to do better next time. This is no excuse, but there are times when I am caught between getting the message out in time or waiting and writing with more attention to detail. I will try harder and I appreciate the help.

  7. Chris says:

That said, I admit I was being nitpicky by focusing on form over content. My bad.

I have a fundamental disagreement with you over the costs and benefits of illegal immigration. For all my disagreements with CATO, they’ve done good work showing how undocumented immigrants are actually a net benefit to our society:

    http://www.cato.org/publications/trade-briefing-paper/answering-critics-comprehensive-immigration-reform

Like the libertarian scholars at the CATO Institute, I don’t believe punitive measures against undocumented immigrants will be helpful. For the most part these are people who came over to make a better life for themselves and their children. To deny health insurance to them because of a civil offense (which is what illegal immigration is) is wrong to me. It punishes children for the offenses of their parents, who were mostly just trying to give them the life they never had. It deprives them of the ability to be as economically productive as they otherwise would be. Health care is a huge cost and I believe in mitigating that cost as much as possible. I believe that societies that do this are healthier, happier and more productive, and I think the evidence supports that position. So I honestly have no problem with this bill.

  8. Pie Guevara says:

Evidently Jack and Tina enjoy being pissed on by Chris. My bad.

  9. Tina says:

Chris writes, “For the most part these are people who came over to make a better life for themselves and their children”

Nobody is disputing their purpose in coming here. what is at issue is they are coming here and have been brought children here in violation of our immigration law…and we are rewarding them for it.

Try that with your students and see how fast they take advantage of you.

You are very new to this issue relatively speaking. those of us that are old enough to remember the Reagan deal on amnesty also remember the promise made at the time:

1986 IRCA: amnesty in exchange for tough border & penalties

Rising levels of illegal immigration [led to] the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA). It provided amnesty for 3 million illegal immigrants, in return for increased border security and penalties for companies “knowingly” hiring illegal immigrants. Aside from creating the H-2A visa for seasonal employment, IRCA failed to create new avenues for legal immigration. The combination of amnesty and inadequate avenues for legal immigration exacerbated the problem of illegal immigration.

The border has not been secured. Worse, Democrats are doing the same thing with undocumented travelers who enter our country illegally that they do with poor folks who are citizens…like sugar daddies trying to attract eighteen year old blondes they entice them with promises and lavish them with freebies.

Twenty-eight years later we are still talking about the same issues and paying a lot more for the privilege.

  10. Tina says:

Pie I’d like to encourage an end to all insults and drivel but people seem to be very fond of it. I will endeavor not to empower it when I can. I don’t enjoy being tinkled on any more than the next guy but it rolls off my back fairly well.

Your comments to Jack and I about our free speech forum have been greatly appreciated as have your observations. Thank you Pie, just for being the guy.

  11. Peggy says:

More Calif. Dreamers leaving for the Lone Star state leaving even few to pay more of growing cost.

Come on Jefferson state, we need help fast!!

“For Japanese auto brands, the logic of keeping their U.S. sales and administrative arms in California is breaking down under the outsized penalties of conducting business in the Golden State and the changing dynamics of the North American automotive industry. So Toyota is leaving, according to Automotive News.

And where is Japan’s biggest automaker relocating its sales and marketing operations in America? Why, North Texas, of course. The move MOVE -5.47% to Plano, Texas, will involve most of the 5,000 managers and employees at Toyota’s current Torrance, Calif., headquarters, the magazine said.”

  12. Tina says:

The left believes they can hammer people over the head dozens of times, robbing them of their income and property, and they will stick around and take it.

California has become an left elitist run state. They don’t love paying $10.00 for a cup of coffee cause it’s cool, they wouldn’t mind paying $4.00 a gallon or more for gas cause they do in Europe, and they don’t get how anyone would object to paying more than they have to. They can afford it so it’s good. These are people that can get behind a cause like the Delta smelt while people lose their jobs and farms…who cares if the breadbasket of the world is destroyed.

I don’t get it…they see themselves as the people who really care.

  13. Bob says:

I suggest you all learn how to speak Spanish.

  14. Libby says:

Jack, if you’re arguing that hospitals should turn away people in need of medical care because they are undocumented, i.e, turn some 3-year-old with an ear infection away to suffer, rupture, go septic and die

you lose this argument, hands down. And you betray a nasty disposition.

They will be cared for. This must be paid for. An insured three-year-old get that ear infection treated right off, hardly costs the taxpayer a nickel. That three-year-old winds up ruptured and septic in an ER and we’re on the hook for thousands.

I put it to you that you are too freakin’ inflamed by bigotry to see the sense in this.

    What IS your problem?

  15. Libby says:

P.S.: Some social scientists have take note of the most interesting circumstance. In states where most of the poor people are white, welfare spending is high. In states where most of the poor people are brown, welfare spending is low.

    Whadda ya know about that?

  16. Tina says:

Also in the states where the liberal count is high they are broke, in debt up to their ears, and violent, very very violent…I think we’re talking about the same states.

Look here for comparison and confirmation

Arizona spends $2.3 billion, Texas spends $9.1 billion, California spends $25.2 billion…even New York only spends $12.6 billion.

What do you think about that?

Also, California is a big time brown state…we spend a lot! What exactly are you saying?
