Liberal Journalist Hounded for Retraction

by Jack

congress2345“An important retraction from a major figure in black journalism. The Washington Post columnist and MSNBC contributor Jonathan Capeheart has penned an op-ed regretting his promotion of the “Hands up, don’t shoot” narrative related to the shooting of Michael Brown.

In those early hours and early days, there was more unknown than known. But this month, the Justice Department released two must-read investigations connected to the killing of Brown that filled in blanks, corrected the record and brought sunlight to dark places by revealing ugly practices that institutionalized racism and hardship. They have also forced me to deal with two uncomfortable truths: Brown never surrendered with his hands up, and Wilson was justified in shooting Brown.”

Since releasing his retraction he has been under siege from many in the Black community that think he is a sell out. According to Capeheart he has been called a House N—–, Uncle Tom, and a host of other vile racist names for having the courage to admit he was wrong and apologize to Americans that were victimized by the lie he repeated. On the other hand Rev. Al Sharpton has not retracted a #$%^& thing, nor has he even come to the defense of Capeheart.

We’ve seen a lot of Black Representatives on TV, who gave their rousing speeches on the floor of Congress with hands in the air…but, I’ve not heard any them retract anything or apologize for spreading the big lie. They’re embarrassed and rightly so, but they did something wrong and they ought to have enough character to admit they were wrong or they don’t belong in Congress.

It’s always good to see anyone stand up for the truth, especially if it contradicts their previously held beliefs or political agenda.

I think the DOJ report shows that the people of Ferguson had good reason to protest against systemic racism, but the Brown case was not the right one to rally around.

I’m ashamed to see so many liberals still clinging to the “hands up, don’t shoot” story.

First rule of the left: Don’t EVER go against us in the serious business of maligning police or anyone else. Otherwise you are dead meat, jive turkey.

  3. Peggy says:

I feel sorry for this liberal reporter for how he’s being treated and for how he must be feeling when he thinks back to all of the other lies he was told and once believed in.

Case in point is his fellow colleagues at AP’s report about this administrations response to FOIA request.

    No surprise here for conservatives.

Obama Administration’s Refusal To Obey The Law Documented In Transparency Study

    “Is anyone surprised?

The Associated Press released some numbers today that confirm what most of America now admits about the Obama administration—the administration is corrupt and does not follow the law. In an analysis conducted by the AP, the Obama administration, more than any time in history, denies Freedom of Information Act requests and is clearly breaking federal law over and over again.

    The Associated Press reports:

The Obama administration set a new record again for more often than ever censoring government files or outright denying access to them last year under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, according to a new analysis of federal data by The Associated Press.”
