Lawyer Persuades Migrant Mothers to Sue the Government for Millions

Posted by Tina

A group of Migrant women have been persuaded to sue the government for the treatment they suffered in detention centers, citing psychological and physical harm. Their lawyer, Andrew Free, claims the mothers and their children were denied adequate medical care and/ or were “falsley imprisoned.”

We are told these women have escaped gang and domestic violence in their native lands. I would think just being here would create a strong sense of gratitude. Harsh as it sounds, there is a solution to this problem…don’t come to America. The huge influx of migrants is already costing the American people millions of dollars in healthcare, education, and other services. And this is the real problem, America offers too many incentives to come here illegally. All kinds of free services and now the prospect of cash by lawsuit? This insanity has to stop.

The very last paragraph of this story contained the following:

More than 170 House Democrats have asked that Homeland Security end family detention. Immigrant rights organizations have filed complaints asking for investigations into the facilities, which include similar allegations of inadequate medical care and detention exacerbating or causing psychological trauma.

Democrats to the rescue? Aren’t they the ones responsible for this problem?

Never let a crisis or any opportunity go to waste.

No mention of the FOR Profit Detention centers who have inhumane conditions and abuse because it increases Investor profit?

GEO Group—the second largest private prison company in the country that has faced numerous accusations of atrocities and civil rights violations.

But that is all Obama’s Fault

    Thanks Obama!

Off topic, but related to the cost to American taxpayers.

    WHY GET MARRIED?

Unfortunately, I think this is true.

This helps explain why there are so many unwed mothers, so many couples living together, and why certain politicians keep getting elected.

How to get $75K for you and your girlfriend ……….. Now I understand what is happening to this country.

Follow these 13 proven steps to financial well-being:

    1. Don’t get married to her.

    2. Use your mom’s address for mail.

    3. Guy, (YOU) buy a house.

    4. Guy rents out house to his girlfriend who has 2 of his kids.

    5. Section 8 will pay $900 a month for a 3 bedroom home.

    6. Girlfriend signs up for Obamacare so guy doesn’t have to pay for family
    insurance.

    7. Girlfriend gets to go to college free for being a single mother.

    8. Girlfriend gets $600 a month for food stamps.

    9. Girlfriend gets free cell phone.

    10.Girlfriend gets free utilities.

    11. Guy moves into home but uses mom’s house to get mail sent to.

    12. Girlfriend claims one kid and guy claims one kid on taxes. Now they both get to claim head of household at $1800 credit!

    13. Girlfriend gets disability for being “crazy” or having a “bad back” at $1800 a month and never has to work again.

This plan is perfectly legal and is being executed now by millions of people.

A married couple with a stay-at-home mom yields $0.00 dollars.

An unmarried couple with stay-at-home mom nets:

    $21,600 disability +

    $10,800 free housing +

    $6,000 free Obamacare +

    $6,000 free food +

    $4,800 free utilities +

$6,000 Pell grant money to spend +

$12,000 a year in college tuition free from Pell grant +

$8,800 tax benefit for being a single mother = $75,000 a year in benefits

Any idea why the country is 18+ trillion $$$ in debt?

    What a country!

“12. Girlfriend claims one kid and guy claims one kid on taxes. Now they both get to claim head of household at $1800 credit!”

I can’t speak for the rest of the actions on that list, but this is definitely fraud, and thus not “perfectly legal” as your meme suggests.

I’d like to see a similar list of the billions of dollars corporations rake in by committing tax fraud on a much larger scale.

Peggy those statistics are sad and frustrating. What a stupid system…and in the name of compassion!

You’ve also given us evidence that it is up to women to create civil society and they have decided to be objects and slaves instead.

The sexual revolution and feminists removed the power vested in women to incentivize men to marry. When you can have the milk for free AND make a profit why marry the cow?

By the way anyone watching that ridiculous TV program supposedly based on Masters and Johnson should know that the good doctors were quite old in the sixties…grey hair and the whole shebang. The portrayal of them as young ans sexy is totally bogus. I know it’s just TV but impressionable minds are shaped and formed with crap like this.

  5. Tina says:

Dewey: “No mention of the FOR Profit Detention centers who have inhumane conditions and abuse because it increases Investor profit? ”

I can’t speak about every detention center but I do know we at Post Scripts reported on the centers being built with the administrations support using tax dollars that were like resorts. I’m pretty sure they too would be aking a “profit.”

Our readers can inform themselves about GEO Group here.

To my knowledge no one has accused Obama of anything about this company.

And is it really surprising that a prison population would make accusations of racism or abuse in today’s PC world? Please!

Criminals are not victims as often as they are abusers themselves. They form gangs and kill each other in prison and they riot. See photos of a New Mexico prison riot here. You might notice a headline, “Santa Fe Prison Guard Dead, Inmate Found Hanged in Cell.”

Some reason and perspective are needed today but sorely absent.

  6. Chris says:

Tina: “You’ve also given us evidence that it is up to women to create civil society and they have decided to be objects and slaves instead.”

Huh? No she didn’t. She presented nothing that implies either gender is more responsible for their situation than the other.

The statement that “it is up to women to create civil society” is demeaning to both women and men. Women are not inherently more civil or moral than men. The belief that they are is what has historically led to women being judged for their own rapes and men believing that they just can’t help themselves.

Conservatives say feminists hate men, but in my experience it has almost exclusively been conservative anti-feminists who imply that men are just naturally grunting sex monsters who don’t care about marriage and need women to “civilize” us. Feminists usually assume that I’m capable of the entire spectrum of human emotion.

“The sexual revolution and feminists removed the power vested in women to incentivize men to marry.”

Good. People should get married because they actually want to commit to the person they love, not because they are incentivized pressured into it by society.

“When you can have the milk for free AND make a profit why marry the cow?”

As someone currently “having the milk for free” (gross) I want to marry my girlfriend (I won’t even call her a “cow”–too gross) some day because I love her, and because I want to commit to her for life. When we’re financially stable and have been together long enough to know it’s forever, then we will make that decision with as few external pressures as possible in our current culture. Thankfully, due to the sexual revolution, when we do that it won’t be because we’re desperate to finally have sex; it won’t be because she’s pregnant, since we use two forms of birth control, one of which is nearly 100% effective, and because even if those failed we’d still know better than to marry just for the sake of the kid, as that rarely ends well for anyone, kid included; and we will have set a solid foundation for our marriage, having lived together a while before marrying, having had sex with each other and, yes, other people in the past, so we’ll know we’re compatible in a number of ways. All of these factors will reduce our chances of getting a divorce, and all of them are due to the sexual revolution.

I’m not willing to trade in all those benefits for an idealized view of a past that never existed. Republicans are losing women and young people precisely because you’ve created the impression that this is exactly what you want to do. You can’t turn back the clock; the best you can do is offer new solutions to new problems, which…is not exactly your party’s strong suit.

Sure, there are some men with multiple baby mamas who never plan on getting married. These men largely do not exactly identify as feminists. In the past, they might have gotten married. They also would have been the kind of men to have affairs and beat their wives out resentment. Human nature hasn’t changed; our options have. The baby daddy/mama problem is not going to be solved by telling people to have less sex. So let’s figure out how it could be solved. Better sex Ed? Opposed by many conservatives. Subsidized contraception? Opposed by many conservatives. (Both of these significantly reduce the abortion rate, by the way, but while most pro-lifers claim to believe abortion is baby murder, they draw the line at paying a cent more in taxes to prevent what they see as baby murder. Priorities!)

“By the way anyone watching that ridiculous TV program supposedly based on Masters and Johnson should know that the good doctors were quite old in the sixties…grey hair and the whole shebang. The portrayal of them as young ans sexy is totally bogus.”

From what I’ve been able to piece together from Wikipedia the show ranges from the 50s to the 60s, though I couldn’t find an exact date. Virginia Johnson was born in 1925, meaning her character on the show could be anywhere from 25 to 44. The actress who plays her, Lizzie Caplan, is 33. William Masters was born in 1915, and the actor who plays him, Michael Sheen, is 46, about how old the real Masters was in 1961. That doesn’t seem too far off to me–the actors are 13 years apart while the real scientists were only ten years apart.

Tina:”Criminals are not victims as often as they are abusers themselves. They form gangs and kill each other in prison and they riot.”

You’re talking about migrant mothers and their children, not hardened criminals. But I can see why obscuring the difference would be useful.

  8. Tina says:

Chris: “You’re talking about migrant mothers and their children, not hardened criminals”

No…I was responding to Dewey who wrote this: “GEO Group—the second largest private prison company in the country that has faced numerous accusations of atrocities and civil rights violations.”

“But I can see why obscuring the difference would be useful.”

Apparently not…first you have to actually get what I say. Therefore, no need to respond to #6, obviously you have no interest in my POV.

  9. Pie Guevara says:

So, what — precisely — is wrong with for profit detention centers and what does that have to do with the subject of this blog entry?

Did I miss something or is the usual bs being spewed by the usual progressive jerks hijacking Post Scripts threads?

The best policy might be to ignore these two creeps Dewey and Chris.

  10. Chris says:

    Sorry for the misunderstanding, Tina.

  11. Tina says:

    Thank you Chris.
